Island Beach Cottage with Private Salt Water Pool and Hot Tub! "Fun in the Sun"

This is a Thursday to Thursday rental'

On the first level there is a game room with foosball and dart board. There is a private bedroom twin beds and private bath. Also included is a TV and VCR. There is a washer and dryer on the ground floor behind an enclosed area. Right off the game room outside is a Hot tub.

On the second level there are three bedrooms, two with queen beds and a full bath and another bedroom with two sets of bunk beds. Two bedrooms have deck access. On the deck is a swing and seating that over look a private pool and landscaped yard.

On the third level there is a great room with a fireplace (only available in off season) dining room, kitchen, and access to half bath. There is a deck off the great room that overlooks the pool and beautiful landscaped yard. Also available on deck is a gas grill and plenty of seating. There is a master bedroom with king bed, Jacuzzi bath, and private bath. You will enjoy the newly remodeled kitchen with top of the line appliances, Keurig coffee maker and twelve cup coffee maker.

Load and start the dishwasher
Gather used towels and store extra beds
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
If towels are rented return to container they were received in. Any additional towels received or bath mats place in shower or bath tub. Leave linens on beds. Housekeeper will take care of these.
Return furniture outside and inside to the place you found them. Also, replace beach and pool supplies where they were found.
Empty cigarette buts from designated cans that were placed outside. Return them where you found them.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
We rent to family groups only. Government-issued photo identification is required for primary renter.

Fantastic location, house was perfect, pool and yard are just right for larger family especially those with kids and teens. Also great for fishing since can walk to sound. Had 4 teen boys with us and they loved location because rented bikes and road back and forth to fishing at sound, beach and shops in ducks. Highly recommend!!!!

Outstanding property. Host communication was excellent and the location was excellent. Everything was extremely clean, kitchen was well stocked with essentials, and pool/beach supplies were available for guest use. Literally a couple of minutes walk away from the public beach, and a parking permit is provided if you prefer to drive.

Island Beach Cottage

Our family very much enjoyed our stay at Island Beach Cottage. The house and grounds were beautiful. Great location for shopping and eating out. I would definitely recommend this property.

We had such a wonderful stay! The owners were great to work with and were very attentive and responsive. They truly seemed to want to make sure you enjoyed your stay and had everything you needed.The property itself was great and had everything our family needed. During our 4 night stay, we couldn’t swim at the beach at all because of the dangerous rip currents. But it didn’t phase the kids one bit because with the pool and hot tub, there was still plenty of swimming to be done. And with the beach just a short walk away, we could still walk over and enjoy the view. We’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend this home to anyone visiting Duck!

Great place to stay!

The homeowner was great to work with and replied in a timely fashion. The house was great for our family and would definitely rent again! Love OBX and it was great to get out of our own homes, since quarantine!

We enjoyed our second time in 3 years staying here. The house and pool are clean. A convenient walk to the beach and mile walk to town. The owner was available for any issues/concerns.

Great Vacation Property

Wonderful house big enough for our big group. Close to beach. Particularly enjoyed the pool and the yard, made for games. Very well stocked. Everyone, ages 4 to 78, thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

Amazing Vacation

We have vacationed at OBX for the past 15 years. This house by far is the cleanest, most well equipped house we have rented. The home owner was quick to respond to all questions and provided great information regarding the area. We will be back!

Perfect first stay in Duck

First time in Duck and staying at this property made it an amazing experience! Fay was very communicative of what the property already had and what we needed to bring with us. The pool and hot tub were amazing after a long day at the beach. Great location, we rented bikes for the week and we’re able to get to shops/restaurants easily. Definitely recommend!

Great Vacation Home

We absolutely loved our stay here. We appreciated the open communication Fay offered us during our vacation; that was much appreciated. This home met all our needs and the common spaces were great for some family time! We loved the shaded outdoor space and we greatly enjoyed the pool and hot tub. It was just a short walk to the private beach! We all enjoyed the beach immensely and made wonderful memories! We would absolutely recommend this place!

Family house!

Nice clean property, had some issues with lock when got there but was resolved pretty quickly! The house worked well for family, only not a fan of staying close to road kind of noisy, but overall would stay again! Very nice owners!

Wonderful family vacation

We absolutely loved our stay here. The home comfortably slept us 6 adults and the common spaces were great for hanging out / relaxing. We loved how private the property was and thoroughly enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Can’t forget about the short walk to the private beach! Hard to beat. Fay was amazing and super communicative. Just Perfect!

The house filled our needs perfectly! It was close enough to the beach to easily walk and the shops were also quite close by. The pool was and hot tub were also great for swimming and relaxing without the sand or having to leave "home." The kitchen was equipped enough to make meals as well, which we did. All in all it was an excellent property and we had a wonderful time :)

Short walk to beach and sound

We enjoyed our stay at island cottage. Even though there is no crosswalk at the road to cross for the beach, there is a stop light at the next street and that makes it very easy to cross without a crosswalk. The kids loved the pool. Fay was great at communicating and very helpful with the checkin and checkout process.

Amazing stay

First off I’d like to say Fay was wonderful. She made everything simple and was always responsive. The house was beautiful, clean and welcoming. Had everything we needed plus more. The pool and jacuzzi was amazing! Short walk to the beautiful beach. Would definitely book again at this property. The whole family enjoyed it. From ages 8-64.

Fun in Duck

We had an amazing time at Island Beach Cottage. The house was perfect for our extended family and we all enjoyed the pool. The house is in a great location with a short walk to the beach and to Duck. The house is well outfitted for the beach (the beach wagon was perfect for toting my toddler grandson) and for cooking. The owner could not have been more welcoming and answered questions promptly. This is a A+ property and I highly recommend it

Perfect friends getaway

Thanks to Fay who made our stay wonderful. The large pool and hot tub were perfect as they were, but became indispensable when the storms made beach swimming impossible. The home was large, so we had plenty of room, and got to enjoy some meals out on the deck. Walk to the beach was 5 minutes. (One thing to know: you've got to bring your own toilet paper.) Would be extremely hard to top at this price.

We bought Island Cottage in 2003. We wanted to buy a vacation home in the Outer Banks because we grew up in Virginia and my husband and I both vacationed there when we were kids. Our grandkids have had a chance to experience the same things we did when we were young! They love being so close to the ocean and the sound where they go body surfing or crabbing quite ofter. We treasure the wonderful memories we have made with them and look forward to so many more!

What makes this property unique

We love this property because of the location. We love the private yard and the fact that it is a very pleasant walk to the ocean or the sound. You can witness beautiful sunrises and beautiful sunsets. Walking distance to Duck Village is great whether on the walking path or on the beach!. We love Duck Village with its many unique shops and restaurants. There is also a beautiful park and a board walk along the sound that is perfect for watching sunsets or early morning walks! Great way to enjoy Duck Donuts with a cup of coffee!
