Your custom kitchen, part of a hundred thousand dollar renovation, waits just inside, where you can fix anything from French 75's to a pitcher of frozen margaritas-- or gourmet cook to your hearts content-- while drinking in the visual beauty of the Carolina coast or listening to shore birds and the clinking of the ships' rigging... Downstairs, one bedroom is perfect for young children with its two day beds, comfortingly enclosed on three sides. Two roll-out trundles are great for siblings. Or, the bedroom can be put to good use by single friends maximizing space on vacation! Enjoy the back porch swing and two bathrooms from which to choose: one with a custom, marble-tiled shower enclosure with its own water-heater to ensure endless showers or another with a Jacuzzi jetted-tub large enough for couples or young children and their friends! A second bedroom is perfect for couples or siblings with its full-size, handmade solid pine daybed with full-size, roll-out trundle. Both bedrooms also feature sail chairs--comfortable and nearly indestructible-- made locally from up-cycled, racing-grade, boat sail!. The third bedroom, with queen bed, antique side tables and blanket chest, is well-suited to grandparents or another couple. It is also the location of the wireless router which affords high speed internet throughout the home. Your upstairs custom kitchen has bar seating as well as a more formal dining area for eight. In addition to typical amenities, enjoy your Keurig, espresso maker, charcoal grill (Big Green Egg, XL, to be exact), and atypical cookware including a pressure cooker favored in many cuban dishes. You'll also find your kitchen basics fully stocked on arrival-- we do ask that you replenish what you use and we welcome suggestions on what you'd like to see added in the future. Outside, enjoy cornhole in your side yard, display your grilling expertise on your own luxury Big Green Egg (but please ONLY use the supplied BGE Charcoal and SpeediLight Natural Charcoal Starters) in the hardscaped backyard with built-in firepit, stroll through the picturesque neighborhood, or take a swim or a suntan in the in-ground pool. If exploring's your passion, the marina, coastal walk, and historic Southport are just down the street. If bar-life or food are your passions, stroll to six right on the water-- and don't be surprised to watch dolphins play while you eat (or drink!). For ‘Vitamin T’ seekers, walk to the Southport Yoga Dock for daily classes, wellness, and the kind of centered feeling no amount of money can buy! Jump on your bikes or walk a little farther for the shopping or antiquing which brings day trippers down from Wilmington, Oak Island, or Bald Head. Terrific beaches are easily accessible by car and/or ferry, ranging from minutes on neighboring Oak Island to 30 minutes or so for Wilmington area destinations. Or, with an additional security deposit, fee, and proof of boating experience, use your 19' Grady White with a Yamaha 150, berthed within eyesight of your home, and the entire coast is your playground! Pack a picnic and Pelican Island can be your private beach, and is a 5-minute boat-ride away. Visit Bald Head Island and its miles of pristine beaches, including terrific body-surfing and surfing breaks. Boat the Intracoastal and stop for lunch, dinner, or drinks, wherever you fancy!
