Sea Turtle Nesting Season Notice
• Sea turtle nesting season on Manasota Key runs from May 1 through October 31
• To help protect nesting turtles and hatchlings, please keep exterior lights off or minimize lighting facing the beach at night
• Close blinds/curtains after sunset to reduce interior light visibility from the shore
• Do not use flashlights or flash photography on the beach at night
• Fill in any holes and knock down sandcastles before leaving the beach
• Please avoid disturbing marked nests—let’s help protect these amazing little guys!
