The host was very responsive and the kitchen had all the necessities for coffee/tea! Bedrooms were spacious, and the outdoor area was great for hanging out.
Our group has used this house 3 times and we love it! It's spacious, beautiful and clean! We also love exploring the neighborhood and the easy access to downtown.
This is a great house in a great location for large groups. The host was very helpful and responded quickly to all requests.
We will definitely be back, thank you Brian.
This was a perfect place for our extended family to join us for celebrating our daughter graduating from Pitt! Very clean, very spacious. The home is beautiful and the garden in back was a nice surprise.
Nine women who have been friends for over 50 years enjoyed this home. There were private bedrooms for everyone, and sufficient gathering space, kitchen supplies and dining areas. We had a great time, and the convent was terrific.
We enjoyed the historical house!
We had ample room for our 9 adults 2 teens and 2 infants.
We had a family wedding over Thanksgiving weekend. We enjoyed eating together in the spacious dining room.
This house is close to museums and the wedding venue!
We were in the area celebrating parents 60th anniversary that lived in the area. The house was perfect for 20 of us to stay close and the accommodations were perfect. Plenty of room for all and the house is beautiful. Had to communicate with the owner a couple times and he was quick to respond and pleasant to deal with. Highly recommend for a large group.
Fantastic property for a large group - plenty of room for everyone, cute neighborhood, close to the stadium. This is our second year and we will be back. Thanks!
This house was exactly right for us! Some family live in the area and others traveled to Pittsburgh to stay in the house, Everyone had a great time. The house had everything we needed -- kitchen is well-stocked, multiple rooms to hang out in so that people could have some space, bedrooms were comfortable. It was just perfect! We are so appreciative!
The Convent is a Wonderful property on the Southside of Pittsburgh
An excellent property for a group of 13. We loved the big dinning table to gather as well as the two comfortable living rooms. The kitchen is well appointed and we enjoyed looking at the larger-than-life clock on the building a few streets over. Covered patio was a treat. The property is Clean and beds comfortable. No complaints from our group. We’d stay there again. Nice job Jonathan and Brian.
We loved the house on Sarah Street. There was plenty of room for everyone and having four bathrooms was great. The house was clean and well supplied. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals and coffee and tea were provided. The location was great- close to the Carnegie Science Center, the National Aviary, the Pittsburgh Zoo, and Wholey’s Fish Market- all the places we wanted to visit. The backyard was beautiful. The adult spent a lot of time sitting on the back porch while the kids played cornhole. There was even a very nice grill to use. We would stay here again if we come back to Pittsburgh.
Fabulous restoration of a convent with 9 bedrooms, 4 bath, two living rooms, a massive kitchen with a professional gas stove and a dining room that housed my entire large family for Christmas. A well-equipped house for entertaining- comfortable sleeping. A few family members did not like the neighborhood
We really enjoyed our stay with high school friends of 40 years at this converted convent. The house was very clean and roomy. Restoration up the converted convent was very nice where the original woodwork was refinished and maintained but included updated fixtures and appliances. The only downside to the house was a musty smell that seem to dissipate as the weekend went on. Seems like the dining room and family room on the first would flow better if swapped.
My family traveled from 4 states to visit my parents in a space where we could host Thanksgiving for 20. All of the basics were covered and then some, stocked bath towels, dishes, utensils, glassware, etc. Bring your own coffee grounds or pods, but there's a selection of tea, oatmeal, and a few pantry items.
There was more than enough room for everyone to sleep, a variety of places to gather throughout the home, and plenty of parking (garage doors are 7.5 feet wide by 6.5 feet tall and 17-18 feet deep).
So many local shops and restaurants to see that we can't wait to return and explore. Be sure to check out Twelve Whiskey Barbecue; Christie and her team were awesome!
Brian and Jon, thank you for your excellent communication and willingness to go above and beyond for our trip to be a success! We'll definitely return to staysouthside . c o m
