Absolutely Gorgeous

  • 5 of 5

The house was just like advertised. The peace and quiet was great,

no neighbors right next door, either side.

The one bed we used was firm and did not sag,

Two Coffee pots , one is a Keurig.

Any and all utensils you could use

Mosquitoes were not a problem on the porch but after dark on the pier you

will need repellent.

Everything worked, not one problem!

This is one of those placed I would like to go back to.

Amazing house, beautiful location

  • 5 of 5

We adored our stay at this lovely house. It was perfect for our family of four but had plenty of space for more. we spent as much time as we could on the screened porch watching the pelicans, lightning storms, and fireflies. So relaxing.

Wonderful private beach home!

  • 5 of 5

My family and I had a great week at Near The End. We spent our days fishing off the dock, reading on the big screened in porch, and eating meals prepared in the well appointed kitchen. The home was very clean and comfy and perfectly accommodating for the 6 of us. The shrimp at Sassy Bass were the best price in town ($8/lb!) and tasted fresh! Our favorite beach spot was down the road a couple miles off Mobile Street. Sharon was a pleasure to work with and we hope to return again for future vacations. Don't skip the outdoor shower, it got more use than the indoor ones!

Most Relaxing Quiet Vacation!

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed your bay home. It has perfect access to the bay. We enjoyed kayaking right from the bay access. You have the perfect little beach spot to launch your kayak from. The seagulls that loved to roost on the dock were quickly scared off by our two boys who loved to fish and crab from the dock. No worries about the birds but they sure do leave a mess. Thankfully we had a really rainy day that helped out while we enjoyed shopping at the outlets which are close by in Foley, AL. The beach house was BEAUTIFUL!! I loved how you decorated everything. It made us feel so comfortable and relaxed. We all needed that! The beds were all very comfortable and we had no problem sleeping in. One thing we really enjoyed watching out of the 2 twin bedroom window was a beautiful nest of finches had just hatched right at the window and we had to keep a check on all the babies daily! Such fun. Your kitchen had everything we needed just like home. I especially LOVED the keruig coffee maker! The extra ice machine was very helpful with packing the cooler to take to the beach or out in the bay. While on our vacation we went out on a charter boat and caught lots of snapper and grouper. We caught some mullet, crabs & croakers from the dock. We caught on the beach side lady fish and sea trout. We also ate at some fabulous restaurants - Sassy Bass, Landry's, Lu Lu's, Wolf Bay Lodge, Tacky Jack's. Thank you for a wonderful stay. This was the first time for this area and we think we will definitely be back.

Owner's Response: Kathy, Wow! Sounds like you guys were busy. I'm so glad you had fun. Ft. Morgan really is like the Beach pre-condo towers. There is a water faucet at the gazebo and a 100ft hose at the house to help with the mess the gulls make on the pier, but I know that's a pain to deal with. Fortunately, this time of year, we get a lot of afternoon showers ;). It's so cool you got to see the finches hatched. We were down, doing a deep clean on the house a couple of weeks ago and they were just eggs! Thanks for staying with us and I know you'll enjoy your memories of Ft Morgan and Near the End for ever. Best Place To Stay

  • 5 of 5

This was our 3rd time to stay at Near The End. We have been coming to the area for many, many years and have rented homes and condos in Orange Beach, Gulf Shores and Fort Morgan. This cottage beats them all. The view is outstanding! Simply the best! The screened porch is amazing anytime of the day. You can read, take a nap or watch the birds and other wildlife. There is a sun deck with an outdoor shower. The dock is the perfect place to watch sunsets and the gazebo is perfect for morning coffee and a sunrise. All the furniture is comfortable, the house is clean and the beautiful kitchen is well stocked. The beach is just a short distance across the road if you decide to go there. We hope to return again.

We love the peace and quiet of Ft. Morgan and this cottage definitely offers that. The pier is the perfect place to fish and watch the dolphins. Kayaking is fun as well. The beach is just across the highway. The cottage offers everything you need for your stay. Sharon is a joy to work with and we look forward to returning for our third annual trip.
