The property has great reviews, but most of the 10/10 ratings come from guests staying multiple weeks. Only a few short term stays (5 nights or fewer) are represented, and after our 5 night visit, it’s clear the home is geared more toward long term renters who bring their own supplies.For a shorter stay, several basics were missing or not functioning:- No salt, pepper, or basic condiments- Only two trash bags for four people over five nights, and we were told to buy more- A nonworking Keurig after we’d already purchased K cups. The listing didn't specify a Keurig, but we noticed the unit upon check-in and then went out to buy K-cups.- Fridge water filter light was on the entire duration of the stay- TV remote barely worked despite battery swaps- Multiple dead outlets and a lamp that didn’t workThe host communicated quickly, but the overall sense of hosting wasn’t there. The primary shower head was great, but this property may be a better fit for extended stays where guests expect to stock the home themselves. For shorter visits, however, a bit more attention to detail and guest readiness would make a significant difference.

Perfect Location for our needs!

Our stay was quite enjoyable, and the location was ideal. We were close to family, and many places we were planning to visit. Located on a lovely street, with nice neighbors. Would stay here for our next visit, if available. (I highly recommend enjoying a meal at the Cape Harbour Oyster Bar, and The Greek Spot! Enjoyed seeing the progress at Sanibel too.) Thank you.

Quiet neighbourhood

Due to the weather we spent a lot of time at the house. The house was comfortable and the neighbourhood was quiet and conveniently located. We would like to return next January if possible.

short stay

It was fine for a short stay. Check-in was a nightmare as entry code did not work. if you rent here be sure to get owners phone #. Patio was nice and kitchen and living room were functional. Master bath was tiny.

We appreciate the feedback, but don’t feel it’s justified to give us a 3 star rating because you were expecting items not listed on our property description. Needs some general maintenance

Some Light bulbs were out that would make the stay more pleasant. Also although I rolled the trash out to the street, everyone’s trash on both sides were emptied but not his so the trash is overflowing with a few weeks of trash and really stinks. Finally I accidentally left my Bose headphones behind but he did not return my email contact about them. His cleaning crew had to find them.

Thank you for letting us know about the light bulbs. They were changed upon your check-out after you had notified us. Also, our house rules book on the kitchen counter details the instructions for putting the trash out the night before trash day. Looks like that didn’t happen when we reviewed the outside camera footage. Also, we will check with the cleaning crew about your headphones. If they were found, we will be sure to send them to you.

Not impressed

Not at all impressed with the property or owner for the price. We rented the house in November for the holiday. We arrived and were unable to get into the property with the code provided. I contacted VRBO support as well as the owner who did not respond and we were unable to get into the property until the next day. The owner said they would refund us for the day but I’ve yet to receive the refund even after contacting the owner multiple times. VRBO support was unable to assist in getting the refund either. Not only were we unable to get into the property but once we did the alarm system kept beeping so we had to reach out to the owner again. Not at all impressed. Would not recommend.

Sorry for the inconvenience. The messages were received after hours (after 10:00pm), and we reached out first thing in the morning to resolve the issue. Also, we immediately responded to your request about the alarm. VRBO keeps track of communications and can back that up. Lastly, the refund was in fact processed and it’s up to VRBO to issue those funds back to you for the one night, so I would recommend contacting VRBO directly about this and not post a bad review to our vacation home. As you can see from our years of history on this property, we are consistently rated 5 stars and take pride in this property.

Sehr schönes Haus mit toller Ausstattung mitten in Cape Coral

Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit dem Haus eine gute Küchenausstattung mit Geschirr und Kochutensilien 2 Bädern und 3 Schlafzimmer in sehr ruhiger Umgebung perfekt für uns für eine Woche Aufenthalt können wir das Haus und den Vermieter Chris nur weiter empfehlen!

Surfside Vacation

We stayed February and March of 2022 and the house was clean, comfortable and in a fantastic neighborhood. Every day we would have coffee and breakfast in the lanai, which we cooked in the well equipped kitchen. We had house guests a couple of times and they all loved the house. All the beds were comfortable as were the bathrooms. While we did have a few issues that needed attention, Chris always responded VERY quickly with the fix, or when the service person would be there. The house is centrally located and close to restaurants, supermarkets and beaches. We loved this house and we highly recommend it!

Great for a short trip!

We loved our time in Cape Coral! The property was beautiful, very clean, and in a great location. The keypad used to get inside came very handy, as we did not have to worry about key usage at all. We loved being able to go out for day trips to Fort Myers and Sanibel Island. We would love to return!

Great neighborhood

This property was perfect for us. We were in for 3 wks due to our Son & DIL we're having their 1st child,. Girl. I was so happy to have a fully stocked kitchen with every pot pan and a crockpot, due to I made them meals everyday. We also brought our bikes and this area is perfect for biking. Thank you for making this property feel like home.

First time in Florida

This rental property is not fancy, lavish, or upscale, so if that's what you're seeking, look elsewhere. It is, however clean, adequately spacious for a small family, located in a nice neighborhood, and within reasonable driving distance to most anything you'd be interested in. There are a few annoying little things about the property which aren't important enough to take the time to write about. But there are two things which you should know...One, the beds are perhaps the most uncomfortable of any I've experienced in a VRBO rental anywhere, and I've stayed in many! And two, the neighbor to the left whose house is a mere thirty feet away from the Master bedroom has a large, loud dog which he puts outside every morning at the crack of dawn. So...be prepared to get up each day at the same time the neighbor puts the dog out, because it's loud!

Brad and guests left the home clean and took care of the property and followed all rules. The property description does list the property details accurately on our home and we have received multiple stellar reviews since we have hosted this property. Great property for folks who like to be out & about.

The property was very clean and well stocked with the necessary items. The location was great, quiet yet close to all the shopping. The lanai was a great place to sit & read. The property manager, Chris, was extremely responsive to a couple of minor issues. Overall a great place to stay.

Well here we are back home and just got 9 inches of snow last night! I really miss our time at this home. We were visiting family in Fort Myers and this house was perfect for us. We were able to cook dinners for our family and relax in this beautiful open floor plan. There was nothing missing, everything was well thought out while designing this rental. We were able to take day trips and explore the area which was absolutely beautiful! We have decided that we will come back next year for a longer stay if this house is available! I recommend this rental, we were very happy with it. Although we never met Chris he was readily available through texts. Paulette & Phillippe Thibodeau Old Orchard Beach, Maine
