Cute house near Snow Summit

Perfect house for a few night stay to go skiing and explore Big Bear Village. Clean and the management company was very nice to work with.

Great cabin in a great location.

The cabin had a great feel to it It was clean and the layout was great. The neighborhood was nice and being so close to the village was exactly what we were looking for. The SPA was very clean which was not always the case with some rentals. It was a perfect spot for out spontaneous get away.

Absolutely Incredible

This Cabin is beautiful, very updated and clean, very comfortable furniture and the beds are comfy as well. Very worth staying here even though it’s not on the lake, everything else makes up for that. The backyard has a perfect slope for a little sledding and snow play as well. Don’t get me started on the jacuzzi under the trees and the under the amazing sky watching the clouds go by. Perfect relaxing trip. Definitely booking multiple nights next time.

Loved the house and location

We had a nice stay. The house was clean, and in a good location. I do wish the communication with Big Bear vacations was better. The Contracting was not smooth, it's through email vs VRBO. And there was no dishwashing soap, and when I asked for it to be delivered they never delivered the soap. Otherwise we had a nice stay.

Brand new, Perfect location, very Quiet.

The home was fabulous. We stay in BB 3 times a year if not more. This is by far our favorite home to date. Mainly beacuse The home is like brand new, appliances, bathrooms, complete with board games and full stocked Kitchen W/ quality cookware. Great hiking trails just at the top of the street to the left. Very roomy, plenty of sleeping space. The beds are big enough for two people each, four to a bunk if you wanted. There was also an air mattresses in the closet, we didn't need them but thought it was nice to have. We felt very much at home here. It will defiantly be the first place I book when were back in the summer!

Nice But....!

We enjoyed our stay. The house was clean, with ample space, three bedrooms for five adults, two children, and one infant, and the location was as described. We were disappointed that the front deck and steps were not cleared of snow and ice, which made it dangerous to walk. We would expect that should be a part of the service for the rental. Other issues included no batteries for the remote TVs, only one towel for the kitchen, no paper towels (we brought our own), and no pot holders or oven mitts.

Solid Place

The check-in was super easy and the woman we met was very kind. The place is 5-10 minutes walk to the village and is on a super quiet street. Backyard is flat and had plent of snow for our 3 and 6 year-old to play. There were TV's in every room with a Roku box, which was awesome for the kids. The natural light was beautiful as well. Two minor issues: When we searched for a place we used keywords "fireplace" and "sauna." The fireplace didn’t work. We sent a message and management never responded. Lastly, the sauna cover was completely waterlogged and must have weighed 150-200 pounds--record snow and rain I guess. My wife and I struggled to pull it off and on. We would 100% return. We would just call ahead and make sure everything is functioning.

A mixed bag

The positives: Easy check-in. Great location. Lots of sleeping space and comfortable beds. The negatives: The kitchen floors were sticky upon our arrival and we had to clean them. The dishwasher looked like a bomb went off inside, and when we turned it on, it gave off a sulphur smell. There was one dish towel (noticed this in a previous review and the response was that would be addressed, but clearly it wasn't.). No oven mitts. The jacuzzi cover was broken and rotting, leaving us unable to open it up to use it. We had to empty our own trash, put it in our car and drive it to the city trash station 1 mile away from the home. Overall, the stay was fine but we will choose a different home the next time we go to Big Bear.

Cute house, great location Bad upkeep and communication

If this place had better communication and better maintenance/management I’d stay here again. The location and house are great but the hot tub was green and cloudy and a total let down. After reaching out three times to see if someone could fix it I finally got a response that they were going to send someone out but no one ever showed up. They outsourced and automated all of there communication to you so it was hard to even speak with a local person. The hot tub was the selling point for this place and I would have gone elsewhere had I known they didn’t upkeep the hot tub. Also the property management had you sign an extensive agreement after you submitted your reservation on VRBO which I didn’t know about - so they weren’t liable for doing anything. Next time I’ll go somewhere that doesn’t have so many properties to manage so that I know I am getting what I pay for. I felt like a number and not a guest. Huge let down.

Super Ski Cabin

This cabin was great! Very good location close to ski slopes & the village. Light & bright, with excellent heating that warmed up fast. Brilliantly equipped kitchen, everything you could possibly need in plentiful amounts. Good quality towels was an especially nice touch. Thank you for making this such an easy to enjoy trip.

Conklin House in Big Bear

The house was lovely, very spacious. There was plenty of room for our family of 4. The kitchen was fantastic. The rental company was very attentive and responded quickly when we had an issue with the heat. It was a great place to stay. The only issue was that the property was not properly cleared of snow or ice getting to the front door, especially for our arrival. The front porch leading to the front door had 2 sets of stairs. One set that the path was accessible from the street was completely covered in snow and unable to use, and the other set you could get to from the driveway and it was covered with ice. There was nothing in the house usable to clear the ice. It was very dangerous, in fact my daughter slipped on the ice and fell.

Pet Policy-Pet Friendly Homes Only-$40/Pet/Night
Pets must be acknowledged and may not be left unattended in the home. Owners must clean up after pets; subject to added cleaning fees for violations.

All homes include clean linens, and fresh bath towels for the occupancy. A kitchen with basic cookware and small starter amount of dish soap, toilet paper, and trash bags will be supplied. Paper towels, coffee filters/coffee, specialty appliances, nor condiments/spices/oils are supplied.

No Pay-Per-View Ordering in any homes.

No refunds/credits for cancellations or trip interruptions due to acts of nature, (especially snow, fire, power outages) weather, road conditions, mechanical or electrical failures, spa malfunctions, or other equipment factors beyond our control.

This is a forested mountain community home to critters- animals or insects you may encounter are spiders, moths, flies, squirrels, gophers, bears, coyotes, burro, bear, bats, etc. Our team inspects prior to arrival but cannot guarantee the home will be free of these forest critters.

We reserve the right to offer a comparable property or issue a full refund if circumstances arise that are beyond our control and your property is made unavailable for any reason.
