Este lujoso apartamento de vacaciones está en el nivel inferior de nuestra casa de dos pisos recientemente construida. Se proporciona un área de estacionamiento separada frente al apartamento que conduce a su entrada privada a través de puertas francesas. El apartamento consta de un amplio dormitorio principal con baño privado, aseo y cocina.
Ofrece:
    • Privacidad, y es totalmente autónomo con aire acondicionado de ciclo inverso.

• Una ubicación tranquila en Emu Bay con vistas al mar desde la habitación y el desayuno al aire libre.

You can see the ocean from your window and you are just a short drive to a long white beach for swimming and walking. This is a lovely place to stay for a couple. Herb is a great host and the apartment is cosy and comfortable with excellent self catering amenities. We loved spotting little penguins at night and koalas in the street trees!

Serenity in name and experience

Could not fault our accommodation or the friendliness of the owner, Herb. He was very generous in his knowledge of the island and all it had to offer. KI did not disappoint and neither staying at Serenity apartment.

Enjoy the wonderful views of Emu Bay

Our stay in Herb‘s apartment was just perfect. Abundant wildlife if you step out the door plus amazing views of the ocean. We wish we could have stayed longer. Herb is such a great host. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Great Host's and the apartment was amazing .Everythink you would need was there even a fantastic view. Herb was very helpful in his knowledge of the Island and we got to see so many unbelievable places. Thank you so much for a great stay.

Perfect location

Great little BnB for our stay on the Island. Emu bay was a good base to watch the world go by and head out for day trips. Herb and Janette have thought of everything to make our stay enjoyable. The small esky and ice bricks kept our food cold for the day. The koala and her baby in the tree across the road was the icing on the cake. Would definitely recommend to anyone. Traveller tip - bring all your food with you as there are limited access to restaurants in the evening

A wonderful stay!

We really enjoyed our stay on Kangaroo Island and at Searenity. The apartment was equipped with everything and more than one will ever need and was a very comfortable base to explore the island. Janette’s gardens were a treat to come home to each night as well as the spectacular view across Emu Bay. We loved the koala in the tree opposite the apartment, the little penguins down the beach and the parade of birds and wildlife we could watch from the front door. Our hosts Herb and Janette made sure we were very welcome. We received good advice on what, where and when to see the best highlights on the island. We would highly recommend a stay at this lovely apartment. Great place to relax and enjoy KI.

Phenomenal stay

The stay at this lovely apartment and speaking with our hosts about Kangaroo Island was a highlight of our time in Australia. We learned so much about the island thanks to the hosts and the location of the apartment was superb, within view of the sea. Fabulous experience!

Herb & Janette have thought of everything, so you don't have to worry about a thing. The property is in a great location. It has it's own car space. The accommodation is very comfortable and very well equipped with well thought of decor. Couldn't ask for more. We were very happy with our stay. Thank you 😊

Clean and comfortable

Lovely apartment overlooking the ocean. Very clean with stocked kitchen making it easy to cook meals. Hosts live next door and were very welcoming and kind.

Sehr schöner Aufenthalt

Wir verbrachten 3 Nächte bei Herb und seiner Frau. Der Empfang war sehr freundlich; Herb zeigte uns auf einer Karte die besten Ausflugsziele und gab uns hilfreiche Tips. Das Apartment ist sehr sauber und bestens ausgestattet. In der Küche findet man alles, was man fürs Zubereiten kleinerer Speisen benötigt. Vom Haus aus hat man einen wirklich wunderschönen Blick übers Meer. Hinterm Haus gibt es Felder und ein kleines Waldstück, hier konnten wir bei Sonnenuntergang ein Känguru beobachten. Von Emu Bay aus braucht man ca. 1,5 Stunden zum Flinders Chase National Park, man sollte also bei der Buchung dieses Apartments berücksichtigen, dass man von den Highlights der Insel ein ganzes Stück entfernt ist. Uns hat das nicht gestört, da die Fahrt über die Insel wirklich traumhaft war! Alles in Allem hat es uns hier wirklich gut gefallen, wir geben trotzdem "nur" 4 Punkte weil das Apartment im Wohn-/Schlafbereich nahezu keinen Platz bietet, um Koffer/Rucksäcke abzustellen und die vorhandenen Schrankmöglichkeiten begrenzt sind.

We lived in Bridgewater in the Adelaide Hills, South Australia for 20 years before returning to live at Emu Bay, Kangaroo Island in 2005.
We had previously lived on Kangaroo Island when Herb was the District Ranger in Charge of the west end of Kangaroo Island. During this time we lived at both Kelly Hill Caves and Flinders Chase National Park and therefore know the Island and all of its attractions well.
Apart from the 5 years based on Kangaroo Island he was also the Operations Manager at Cleland Wildlife Park in the Adelaide Hills and also spent a year working for the Oregon State Parks Service in the USA as part of the first International Ranger Exchange Program. In 2003 Herb left the National Parks and Wildlife Service after a 30 year career to pursue our dream of an "Island Sea Change".
Janette has worked as an Information Officer at Belair National Park and then spent 9 years as an Office Administrator at an Aged Care Complex in the Adelaide Hills before moving to Emu Bay.
As our son and daughter are now adults with their own careers, we have opted to pursue our love for the more relaxed lifestyle on Kangaroo Island.
