The Space:

Stargaze Escape is a retro desert home in Yucca Valley with a floating vintage car bed for stargazing, neon signs, a vintage phone booth and a cactus garden. The fully fenced yard has a private hot tub, a cowboy tub with a retro sign and a fire pit with boulder seats. Inside, an indoor tub opens to a private star-lit courtyard, and a custom boulder table anchors the dining area. With two king bedrooms, it suits couples or a small group of up to four.

The fully fenced yard is full of character, from the floating vintage car bed for stargazing to the neon signs and the cactus garden. Soak in the private hot tub, cool off in the cowboy tub with its retro sign or gather at the fire pit on boulder seats. The cowboy tub is not an in-ground pool and is closed November through March. A BBQ grill is ready for dinner, and before you leave, pick up the vintage phone booth and leave a message to add to the home's story.

Inside, a smart TV, Wi-Fi and a dedicated workspace keep things comfortable, and mini-split heating and air conditioning handle the desert temperatures. An indoor tub opens to a private star-lit courtyard.

The kitchen has cooking basics, dishes and silverware, and the custom boulder table is the centerpiece of the dining area.



-Bedrooms and Bathrooms-

Stargaze Escape has two bedrooms, each with a king bed, and one bathroom. The indoor tub looks out to a private star-lit courtyard.

Stargaze Escape is about 2 minutes from La Copine and about 8 minutes from the Integratron. Downtown Joshua Tree and Pappy & Harriet's in Pioneertown are about 18 minutes away, and the Walmart in Yucca Valley about 15 minutes.

Other Things to Note:

-Cowboy Tub-

The pool at Stargaze Escape is a cowboy tub, not an in-ground pool. The cowboy tub is drained and unavailable for guest use during the winter months (November through March) to prevent the filter from freezing and breaking.



-Hot Tub Rules-

Please rinse off before and after using the hot tub, and keep the lid on to keep out dirt and hold the heat. No glass by any water.



-Pool and Hot Tub Service-

We have weekly hot tub and cowboy tub cleanings, and this day may fall during your stay.



-Pet Policy-

We welcome your dogs! There is a $100 per dog per stay fee, limit of 2 dogs maximum. Please note on your reservation if you are bringing dog(s) and how many, and we will adjust the price accordingly. There is an unauthorized pet fee of $1000. Please use the provided dog sheets before allowing your dogs on any furniture. Cats and other pets are not allowed.

-Wildlife & Safety-

The desert landscape is teeming with wildlife and natural beauty, offering a unique connection to nature, but it's important to be mindful of the creatures and plants that call this area home. Guests may encounter a variety of wildlife during their stay, and while direct encounters with dangerous animals like coyotes, snakes, scorpions, bobcats, mountain lions and other desert dwellers are rare, it is important to be aware of your surroundings and to keep a safe distance from these creatures when spotted. Additionally, the desert is dotted with sharp cacti and other spiky plants. For your safety, always supervise children, pets, ESAs, and service animals while outdoors. Dogs should remain on a leash at all times and be watched closely while outdoors, as they can wander into potentially unsafe situations with wildlife or plants. By booking this property, guests acknowledge the potential for wildlife encounters and assume responsibility for their safety and the safety of their group. By respecting the local environment and staying aware, you can fully enjoy the magic of the desert.



-Security Camera-

For your security, there are exterior cameras on the property, which monitor vehicles and occupancy. There are no cameras inside the home or facing any private areas, including the hot tub area.



-Visitors and Private Chefs-

If a private chef will be visiting, please let us know in advance. Visitors are welcome during the day but cannot stay overnight unless they are added to the reservation as registered guests.



-Check-in and Check-out-

Check-in is after 4:00 PM and check-out is at 11:00 AM. Early check-in and late check-out requests must be made at least 24 hours in advance and are subject to availability and our cleaning schedule.



-Late Check-out-

Any unauthorized late check-out beyond the 15-minute grace period will incur a $100 fee for the first hour, with an additional $100 charged for every hour thereafter.



-Check-out Tasks-

Before you leave, please wash any dirty dishes or load and start the dishwasher, place used towels on the bathroom floor, leave used beds unmade, turn off all lights, check for personal items, and lock all doors and windows. No other cleaning or trash removal is required unless noted elsewhere in this listing.



-Lost and Found-

Items left behind will incur a minimum return shipping fee of $50, depending on the shipping address.



-Quiet Hours-

Quiet hours are 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Please keep voices and music at a respectful level outdoors at all times, and turn off all music, including portable and vehicle audio, during quiet hours. Guests are responsible for any noise fines, and a minimum $1000 fine applies to any noise citation.



-Smoking-

Smoking of any kind, including cigarettes, cigars, vapes and cannabis, is not permitted inside the home. Outdoor smoking must be at least 20 feet from doors and windows, and all smoking materials must be fully put out and thrown away. Evidence of indoor smoking will result in smoke-removal charges and a $1000 fee.



-Parking-

Please park only in the driveway or other designated parking areas on the property. Street parking is not permitted and may result in fines.



-Restricted Areas-

Any locked closet, room or storage area on the property is reserved for rental supplies and is off limits to guests. Guests may be held responsible for damage or missing items if a locked area is entered.



-Photoshoots and Events-

Events, parties, weddings, photoshoots, filming and other commercial use of the property are not permitted without our written approval in advance. If you would like to use the home for a photoshoot or production, please message us before booking, as additional fees apply. Unauthorized commercial activity may result in a violation and production fee of up to $10,000 and termination of the reservation without refund.



-Cell Service-

Cell phone coverage is available at the property, though reception can vary by carrier.



-Damage Waiver Policy-

Each reservation requires either a refundable security deposit or a non-refundable damage waiver.
