About this property

Cozy secluded loft on Old Naches, every amenity, gateway to the adventure!

Escape to Your Private Yakima Retreat!

Welcome to our newly renovated 1-bedroom loft apartment tucked behind a private gate on a beautifully maintained 5-acre property alongside Suntides Golf Course. With open space, mature trees, and a peaceful setting near the creek and pond, it’s a quiet place to unwind while still being just minutes from town.

Sleep Easy
The bedroom features a comfortable queen bed. Additional sleeping space includes a futon in the main living area and a king bed in the loft, making the space flexible for couples, small families, or a few friends traveling together.

Comforts & Amenities
We’ve tried to think of the little details that make a stay easy and comfortable: heating and AC for year-round comfort, a light kitchenette for simple meals (induction burner, electric griddle, toaster oven, basic cookware, cooking oil, and spices), a Keurig coffee maker, kettle, iron, hairdryer, and a private bathroom with a walk-in shower. There’s also plenty of space for parking vehicles, trailers, or outdoor gear.

Nature & Quiet Surroundings:
The property itself is part of the experience. Guests often enjoy walking the grounds, relaxing near the pond and creek, and watching the variety of birds that pass through the trees—the yard has become a bit of a birder’s haven, with many species frequently visiting the area.

Location
Step outside to access the scenic Interurban Trail for biking and walking, or explore some of Central Washington’s best destinations nearby—Yakima Valley wine country, Suntides Golf Course, White Pass Ski Resort, and Mt. Rainier National Park are all within easy reach.

Whether you’re visiting for outdoor adventure, wine tasting, golf, or simply a peaceful place to recharge, the loft offers a quiet and comfortable home base while you’re in Yakima.

This Second Chance Ranch bungalow was amazing. It was very comfortable and well furnished with all your daily necessities. It was small but quaint and no concerns at all. The grounds around the bungalow were well maintained and very comfortable as well. We would love to stay again.

What an incredible spot! We came for the State basketball tournament and could not have found a better place to relax and unwind! There are so many little added touches from snacks to coffee to toiletries to beautiful grounds that make it such a magical getaway.

We arrived later than expected due to some mechanical issues, but the instructions and directions were super easy to follow and find. The lift unit was super clean, had a newer AC unit( which was important as it was a 90 July day). The bed mattress was super comfortable and we sleep very well. the unit is fully stocked with platters and glassware, as well as pots and pans. The property has a pal like setting next to the golf course and it's very peaceful. We absolutely enjoyed our stay and recommend this place highly!

Beautiful setting with views from every window. Gorgeous sunrise on the das we stayed. spotlessly clean accomdations with comfy beds, and the fireplace was extra comforting in this cold weather and heated the apt. nicely. Plenty of movies, and good cell sevice with Wi-fi. Host was on site and answered messages promptly and still gave us all the privacy we had hoped for.

Very cool loft on top of barn! Traveled with family, total 5, and was very comfortable using 2 double beds and futon. This place has everything you need plus an incredible collection of DVDs. The property is a gem, we enjoyed everything, from the tree lined driveway, to the grounds and the loft design. Beautiful! Host was very attentive, responded immediately when we needed extra supplies. Well done 👍

Everything about the stay was fantastic. The apartment is so cute, cozy, and well furnished. It accommodated our family of six perfectly. Plenty of room to spread out. Games for the kids that were a lot of fun. The loft sleeping area was really cool for a couple of kiddos. A beautiful setting. Secluded, quiet, but just a few minutes from town. Super easy access.

We loved the property but several incidents that could have made it excellent. Instructions said that the key would be in the lock. Upon arrival the key was not in the lock. We attempted to contact the host but our cell would not work so we had to drive out of the property to catch a cell. It took us an hour to be able to get in ....the key was in the barbecue. On the following morning we were awakened at 7am because of a riding lawnmower mowing the lawn. I has been also two weeks and I have not received my damage refund which I felt was very excessive in the first place. I understand that this is a VERBO requirement but I will not rent from a property that has that policy. In discussing that policy with friends they stated they would not rent it either.

Overall a great location and was as listed. Parking was great. Everything that might be needed is close but location seemed secluded which was nice. Great bed, best sleep in sometime. Great location for two people but more might make it crowded. Only complaint is there is no real comfortable place to set in the evening as couch was very uncomfortable and it was too hot to set outside. Grill is electric and looked as it has not been used for sometime so we did not feel comfortable using it. Would recommend for a couple.

I first fell in love with this property as a kid playing golf at Suntides. It’s always held a special kind of magic — part history, part nostalgia. My father’s business partner once lived here, and the original ranch house down the road still belongs to the family who built it before the land was divided.

Years later, when my wife and I started house-hunting after getting married, we walked onto this property and instantly knew we were home. Over the past few years, we’ve rebuilt it from the ground up — restoring the main house, renovating the loft, and shaping the grounds into something beautiful and personal.

It’s been a true labor of love (and, honestly, a lot of work). Now that it’s finally come together, we love being able to share it with others who appreciate the quiet, the charm, and the history woven into this place.

Why they chose this property

This area perfectly blends wide-open spaces with easy access to town. You’ll wake up to the sound of birds, mountain air, and views that remind you why the Yakima Valley is such a special place. It’s close enough to great wineries, farm stands, and restaurants, yet feels tucked away from the noise.
We love that you can drive ten minutes in any direction and find something different — orchards, golf courses, river trails, and endless sunshine.

What makes this property unique

Once you’re here, you’ll know why it’s unique. It’s a very special place with something different in every direction - ponds, creeks, gardens, trees, animal-life, quiet and ultimate privacy.
This has been a labor of love — a restored loft space above our barn, surrounded by 100 year old trees, pond, babbling creek that runs the length of the property and open sky. It’s private, peaceful, and filled with small touches that make it feel like home. We are avid travelers ourselves and did our best to create a space we’d like to stay. (And we have high standards)
What really sets it apart is the experience: it’s quiet but not remote, stylish but not pretentious, and always welcoming. You’ll feel like you discovered your own hidden corner of the Yakima Valley.
