White Mountains Chalet — Your Perfect Family Ski Retreat
Welcome to our warm and inviting Bartlett family chalet, set on a beautiful ½-acre corner lot in one of the area’s most charming neighborhoods, surrounded by mountains and scenic views of the Mount Washington Valley. The sunny great room, highlighted by cathedral ceilings, offers a bright and welcoming space to gather. With a comfortable primary bedroom, a bunk room with six beds, and a pull-out couch, this chalet is the perfect retreat for families and friends to relax, connect, and make memories—on and off the slopes.
Step into the spacious great room, where sunlight streams through the original crank-out windows and highlights the soaring cathedral ceilings. The oversized, cozy sectional offers plenty of space for everyone to gather—whether you’re watching a movie on the large flat-screen TV, playing games, curling up by the propane stove on winter nights, or warming up after a day on the slopes.
Craving a little quiet time? Head up to the loft reading nook and settle into the traditional wooden rocking chair with a good book and a soft blanket.
The chalet offers a first-floor primary bedroom with a queen-sized mattress and a second bedroom with three sets of built-in twin bunks—perfect for kids, cousins, or a multi-family ski getaway, all made up with soft, cozy linens. The sectional sofa converts into a full-size bed, and a separate foam topper is available for added comfort. An additional air mattress and pump are also on hand for extra sleeping space. Whether it’s family or friends, there’s room for everyone to settle in and feel at home.
Gather in the remodeled eat-in kitchen, complete with granite countertops and fully equipped kitchen. A generous-sized farm table ensures there’s space for the whole crew to come together.
Step outside onto the oversized deck for morning coffee, evening grilling, or stargazing after a long day of adventure.
Follow the deck to the level, tiered backyard lined with trees and historic stone walls. Relax by the fire pit, roast marshmallows, and share stories under the stars. With plenty of parking and tons of outdoor space, it’s built for carefree vacation energy.
You’re just minutes from: Attitash, Wildcat, Black & Cranmore ski mountains, Story Land, Conway Village & North Conway shopping, hiking trails, waterfalls, river spots & scenic overlooks.
Whether you're exploring all day or staying in to unwind, this chalet offers the comfort, convenience, and charm that makes vacations unforgettable.

About the host
Hosted by Karen Sparacio
Hi! I’m Karen — a New Jersey transplant who has called Boston home for most of my adult life, but my heart belongs to the White Mountains. That's where I feel most at peace. They’re my escape, my inspiration, and the place where some of my favorite memories are made.
As a host, I love sharing that connection with others. There’s something magical about watching guests discover the mountains that I’ve treasured for years. My hope is that your stay isn’t just a getaway, but an experience you’ll remember long after you head home — the kind that becomes part of your family’s stories.
When I’m not hosting, you’ll find me exploring hiking trails, photographing mountain views, or enjoying local craft brews and live music — and when I’m not among the mountains, I’m often in Uganda, my second home, where I work alongside women as they build empowered, fulfilling lives.
I want your time here to feel warm, easy, and comfortable — like a true home-away-from-home in the mountains. If there’s anything you need or anything I can recommend to make your stay even better, I’m always happy to help.

What makes this property unique
Our neighborhood is one of those rare spots where the mountains feel close enough to touch. Surrounded by quiet streets, tall pines, and views that shift beautifully with the seasons, it’s the kind of place where you can breathe a little deeper and instantly feel at ease. What I love most is the rhythm of the days here: heading out for skiing, hiking, or exploring, then coming home to the warmth of the chalet — cozy, relaxed, and still buzzing with that mountain energy.
And when the day isn’t quite over? It’s just a short trip to the Red Parka Pub, where locals and visitors mix on the dance floor and the music carries the night along. Pair that with a cold Moat Mountain Bone Shaker brown ale, and it’s the perfect après-ski tradition. It’s a neighborhood that invites you to enjoy every moment, from fresh tracks in the morning to dancing and good beer after dark.
