Thank you,

The house and property were everything promised and more! It was all we could do to pry our kids away from the private beach to go out on day trips to all of the area attractions. It would be difficult to overstate how much we enjoyed our stay. Well done, and thank you!
This cottage is so cute, clean, very well stocked and comfortable! Sean makes it super easy with check in and check out and clear instructions and rules for the week. The cottage and property were well maintained. It really was the most relaxing vacation we have ever had. Great for all age groups. We will definitely go back for another stay!

Thank you for the review! We are so happy you all such a good time. We would love to have you back anytime.
Thanks,

The inside isn’t anything flashy, but is clean and as pictured. We loved the beach and the kids had a blast with the paddle board and other water toys. About 8-10 feet off the beach is becomes soft bottomed so you really had to float on something, but other than that it was perfect. Good location to get to other things to do also. The hosts were incredibly nice and helpful as well, made us feel very welcome. We had a great time!

Thank you Paul! Very glad to hear you enjoyed yourself.
Our stay at Bass Lake was great overall. The place is clean, well stocked with necessities and has an amazing lake view. I will mention that this lake isn’t a swimming lake as the bottom is super soft, but the fishing, kayaking and pontoon trips made up for it! A great week!
Beautiful home and location. Very well kept. Not lacking for anything. All rules spelled out and very clear. Very much enjoyed our stay and Hosts were personable and kind. Highly recommend this unit.

Thank you for the kind words. We are so happy you enjoyed yourselves.
We loved everything about this property. It had just about everything we could have wanted for a peaceful week on the lake. The kayaks, paddleboard, canoe, and pedal boat were great to have available. We loved the various out-door seats to relax in, and the deck was great for chilling and enjoying some family meals. The property is well-maintained and obviously cared for!

Cottage was comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. Large yard offered several seating areas including fire pit, swing by water, deck with table and patio outside of sauna. Fishing was great. Location was perfect, quiet yet close to restaurants and TC. Will definitely consider a return rental.

Our second stay at bass lake was even better than the first one which was great. There is now a pontoon available to rent which makes it very convenient. The house has everything you could possibly need. Sunsets on the lake are beautiful. And the massage chair is a real nice touch. Thanks Sean, will see you again.

Thank you for the great review! We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and also wanted to say we really appreciated your understanding regarding the refrigerator. We welcome you back anytime.
We loved our stay and will definitely look into staying here again. The host Sean provides everything needed to enjoy this peaceful piece of paradise. Our 2 year old grandson enjoyed playing on the beach and catching his first fish from the dock while mom, dad, grandma, and grandpa took turns using the kayaks, peddle boat, paddle board, or relaxing in the sun or shade with our 2 month old grandson. This is what you think of when you’re thinking “Up North” Michigan.
We stayed at "Lake House" with small group aged 9-85. Everyone loved our stay. The house is clean, comfortable, and exceptionally well-stocked. Sean is an excellent host who communicated with us extremely well. He clearly loves the house and works hard to provide a first-rate experience for his guests.
Thanks Sean! I'm pretty sure you'll see us again.

We had an awesome stay! The property was well equipped with everything we needed both inside and out. The home was clean and well stocked. We enjoyed all the outside toys, kayaks, paddle boat, hammock, and the dock for fishing. We rented a pontoon boat for our stay and enjoyed boating around the quiet lake, fishing, and stops at the sand bar. The sunsets were beautiful! We also enjoyed the fire pits and making s’mores. We will absolutely be back hopefully next summer.

Excellent location great accommodations!!
Sean and Nicole were fantastic hosts. Met us as soon as we pulled up. Showed us around. The house very clean very well stocked with everything you would need. Just minutes from TC and local grocery store. Lake is very quiet, not a lot of boat traffic at all which was great we rented a jet ski for a couple days from TC Watersports.
If your looking to book you will not be disappointed with this place at all!!!
Thanks again Sean and Nicole

What a glorious place to enjoy the fabulous Michigan weather and scenery. We were there for an extended stay and regretted having to leave. This cottage has absolutely everything you would want or need. Sean could not be more helpful or accommodating. We hated to say goodbye to our new friend. Everything about this home on Bass Lake is comfortable and very clean. Sunsets on the deck were magnificent. Would highly recommend this property to anyone. Sean, thank you to you and Nicole.

About the host
Hosted by Sean Way
My name is Sean Way and I was born and raised in Traverse City. I grew up in this house and work at a local construction company as a draftsman for over 25 years. I take great pride in this house and its amenities. I enjoy sharing it with people as they make life long memories with their friends and family just as I have.
Why they chose this property
It is as if time stood still here on our secluded, peaceful piece of paradise as the rest of the town has grown and been built up over the years. My family built this house in 1974 and I was born and raised here and absolutely love the area. My mother lived here for 45 years and this house was her heart and soul. She loved improving it over the years and especially enjoyed sharing it with the people around her.
What makes this property unique
The property is large and spacious with 2 lots that sit just above lake level. It’s on a quiet cove off the beaten path yet still close to everything town has to offer (8 miles to down town Traverse City). Bass lake is an all sports lake with not a lot of traffic, so it’s still very peaceful and relaxing. The lake is great for fishing, kayaking, or just boating around. With 3 kayaks, paddle board, canoe, and a paddle boat all included it is the true up north experience. We also offer a very nice pontoon boat you can rent with your stay.
