There are beautiful original details to be mindful of - stained glass, pocket doors, glass cabinets, french doors, woodwork, etc.

The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2024.
FOR THE HISTORY BUFFS:
The Champlin House was once owned by Charles Davenport Champlin. In 1860, Mr. Champlin started Pleasant Valley Wine Company, the very first winery in the Finger Lakes region! Not only is it the oldest winery in the region, it was the first winery to be bonded by the government after prohibition. It's also one of few wineries outside of France allowed to call its bubbly champagne. It still stands today, two miles south of the Village of Hammondsport, but unfortunately closed its tasting room in fall 2025.
You will have access to the entire house and outdoor spaces. The Carriage House over the garage is a separate rental unit, which includes one dedicated driveway space.

About the host
Hosted by Dana
I was born and raised in Central New York, but have been living the NYC life since graduating Syracuse University. We love to travel with our kids and have been visiting the Finger Lakes yearly since 2012. In 2024 we decided to get a place of our own to enjoy with extended family and to share with guests. We chose Hammondsport and Keuka Lake!
Why they chose this property
Hammondsport is a unique and special place to relax and unwind. It's small town America at its best. With so much to do and see right in the village square and beyond, it's the perfect place to stay and enjoy the area.
What makes this property unique
Keuka Lake is a gem in the Finger Lakes. The unique shape, clean water and quieter vibe make it a sought out area for vacationers. Our house is and ideal location - steps from the lake but also next to village square, giving you the serenity of the lake and the convenience of shopping, restaurants and nightlife.
