The location for the beach is nice. Although people don’t abide by the “no noise before 8am and after 10pm” rule. Lots of loud people at 2-3am and kids running through screaming and loud at 12am 4/5 am. The property needs up dating and a bit of TLC. There are many holes and dings in the walls that need repaired, spattered food dripping on the kitchen wall, the dishwasher motor sounds awful like it’s going to burn up, although the rest of the appliances are fine, there was a ceiling leak where now the ceiling is bowing, is still wet, and a small piece will eventually fall. Last night there, found a cockroach on the wall. And the cleaning crew either doesn’t exist or needs fired. Sand still everywhere so when you walk across the carpet it coats your feet, dust on the lamps, baseboards, etc and the shower curtain has two kinds of mold on them and hair left over from the previous people.

The location was amazing, beaches were beautiful, host was great to communicate with, but the cleanliness of the unit was far from decent. There was moldy shower curtains, dust on everything (not just a little but ALOT), there was clutter in areas and I spent a good amount of time cleaning when we first arrived just to be able to bring our belongings in. Other than that it was a great trip.

Not what I booked

Nothing about this property matched the listing on VRBO. It is not beachfront, it does not have a king size bed, there is not any plush furniture. Holes in the walls and floors. I called Evolve Renatal and the owner and asked for a refund so we could go somewhere else the owner placed it on evolve and Evolve was going to get back with me in an hour and 3 days later I still havnt heard from them. Terrible customer service.

The was old and dirty, the furniture was old with holes in the dining table.

I visit myrtle beach often, and this was the place worst I ever stayed. And the place is not as it is shown on the website. Me and my girlfriends are nurses, and been working ever since covid started and we were so looking forward to this vacation. That place totally messed up our whole weekend, and we could not and we totally refused to stay in that disgusting place. We had to find another place which made us have to spend more money that we could not afford. I feel that we should total be refunded our money.

nice property close to beach

enjoyed our stay and the location was quiet. listing has the property on the ocean side of shoredrive. the unit we stayed in was the last building on the inland side of shoredrive. not a big deal but was expecting a unit on the ocean. overall very nice stay and we would stay here again.

Great family getaway

The condo was a great experience. Perfect for our large family. Greg the owner was a joy to talk to, very down to earth, very informed. It was a short walk to the beach but we had a wagon so it was no hassle at all. Close to everything not a long travel to get to anywhere. However check in was a bit confusing. Greg the owner gave us specific instructions on how to check in. When we pulled in to the accurate address, there are 4 sets of condos that all look identical. So we find the sign that said office, Grand Strand vacation rentals. We walk in and explain that we were with pelacans landing, those people were the rudest people I have ever spoke to in my life. Told me there were no such thing as pelacans landing, when clearly there are signs everywhere. For people that live 9 hours away they were of NO help to point us in the direction we needed to go. (Which was just a 40 ft. Walk away) So I suggest to not talk to them for anyone in the near future renters. We did some walking and eventually found where we were going. Overall it was a good vacation

Short Weekend

The property itself was okay. Very outdated. The kitchen floors had gaps in some of the planks, the master bedroom blinds were broken leaving large open gaps. We ended up putting a sheet up for privacy. We did not receive an email stating that we needed to bring our own linens until the day of and after we left home. So we ended up having to purchase our own linens. We also were never sent parking passes. I contacted Gregg several times to let him know we received a notice on our cars that they would be towed if we didn't have a pass present. He wanted me to spend my time tracking down people and showing them proof that I am staying there, such as the security guard. I tried reaching out to the property Manager, Randy who basically told me he was too busy to even respond. Once he did he was of no help. We spent a large portion of our time trying to get parking passes. It was a very nice location to the beach, nice clean pools, and centrally located in MB to all the major attractions. I would stay at Pelican Landing again but not in this specific unit.

BEWARE

While checking email for the lockbox code during our connection to Myrtle Beach, I noticed the address was different from the address sent the previous week from Evolve. I called Greg who explained that the condo was double-booked. He told me to email him my address and he’d send us $150. We get to the “new” condo to find that it’s only a 2 bedroom and now my 18 year old son and 13 year old daughter have to share a room. Huge disappointment for 1st day of vacation! I sent an email the next morning to Greg and Evolve; didn’t hear back from either. I called Greg 3 days later, who seemed to not have seen my email. He offered us $200 this time. I email my address on 7/19/18. It is now 2 1/2 weeks later, we have received nothing!
