About Charles & Jenny Turner
We live in Portland and both sell residential real estate for a living. We self manage two rental properties and this vacation home. We met at Lewis & Clark College in Portland and have a nine year old son. We have a dog and your well behaved canine is welcome as well.
Charles & Jenny Turner purchased this Townhome in 2013
Why Charles & Jenny Turner chose Hood River
We had some specific criteria when looking for our vacation home: it was close enough to Portland that it wouldn't be an event getting there, it was close enough to shops and restaurants that we wouldn't need a car when we arrived, and that it had good access everything the Columbia River Gorge has to offer. This does all of that and more. This property is brand new to us. We are confident you'll love it as much as we do.
What makes this Townhome unique
There's not a lot of property in the Hood River core in general and even less with this level of quality. We love the clean lines and finishes. You can't get the quality of view anywhere else this close to shops and restaurants. The massive garage is unique to the complex allows unpacking (and drying out) all that recreational gear.

Enjoyable stay. Ideal location for a long weekend getaway.
Great long weekend away! The townhouse did not disappoint. The location made it easy for us to walk to everything and the view from the third floor balcony was beautiful. However, the house was not as clean as I would have liked. Finding long brown hairs in the bath tube and beds was unfortunate and the second floor patio needs a good sweeping. The air flow was lacking and on a humid weekend, it was uncomfortable. No matter how low we set the air conditioner, the house never got cooler than 78 degrees on the third floor. I would recommend for the location and view.
Thank you for the feedback. I've refunded your cleaning fee as it pains me when the unit is not as clean as expected.
On the cooling, it is always frustrating to find out about an issue for the first time in a review as I think I could have solved in 30 seconds over the phone if I had been contacted at the time. Just to make sure, we're scheduling service for the unit.
Great family townhome!
Great location, we walked to the park and downtown with the kids everyday.
Great access to hood river for the weekend. Staying at the condo is a delight. Thanks.
Great Hood River weekend! Pfriem brewpub & walk on old hwy 30
We’ve stayed here before, all the comforts of home & great views. We love walking out the door, downtown or up the hill. Nice linens & comfortable beds :-)
Downtown Hood River Gem
We were quite pleased with our 5 day stay. We love the ability to walk for coffee, a beer, & a great meal. If you want to cook, the kitchen is big & has anything you’ll need. A true pleasure to cook in this space. The views are stunning, especially covered in snow. A comfy retreat from city life. Kuddo’s to the owners for taking friendly dogs too. We highly recommend!
Beautiful, clean home right in the heart of Hood River
My three young kiddos and my husband just finished our stay at this home. We visited Hood River to ride the Christmas train. We were easily able to walk to the train station, as well as tons of cool shops, restaurants, coffee shops, breweries, etc. This home has a gorgeous view of the Columbia River from their super cozy living room. We seriously loved this house, it had everything we needed and more. Wonderful decor too!
A block up from the heart of Hood River. Rated as one of the top wind surfing/kite boarding spots in the world. Don't miss the Mt. Hood Scenic Railway and their winter Polar Express.
Hood River is a great base for exploring the Columbia River Gorge. Wineries are becoming more popular and the region has its own AVA. The Hood River Fruit Loop is a 35-mile, scenic drive through the valley's orchards, forests, farmlands, and friendly communities.
Three night minimum on three day holiday weekends.
