About Charles & Jenny Turner

We live in Portland and both sell residential real estate for a living. We self manage two rental properties and this vacation home. We met at Lewis & Clark College in Portland and have a nine year old son. We have a dog and your well behaved canine is welcome as well.

Charles & Jenny Turner purchased this townhome in 2013

Why Charles & Jenny Turner chose Hood River

We had some specific criteria when looking for our vacation home: it was close enough to Portland that it wouldn't be an event getting there, it was close enough to shops and restaurants that we wouldn't need a car when we arrived, and that it had good access everything the Columbia River Gorge has to offer. This does all of that and more.

This property is brand new to us. We are confident you'll love it as much as we do.

What makes this townhome unique

There's not a lot of property in the Hood River core in general and even less with this level of quality. We love the clean lines and finishes. You can't get the quality of view anywhere else this close to shops and restaurants.

The massive garage is unique to the complex allows unpacking (and drying out) all that recreational gear.

Downtown Hood River Gem

  • 5 of 5

We were quite pleased with our 5 day stay. We love the ability to walk for coffee, a beer, & a great meal. If you want to cook, the kitchen is big & has anything you’ll need. A true pleasure to cook in this space. The views are stunning, especially covered in snow. A comfy retreat from city life. Kuddo’s to the owners for taking friendly dogs too. We highly recommend!

Beautiful, clean home right in the heart of Hood River

  • 5 of 5

My three young kiddos and my husband just finished our stay at this home. We visited Hood River to ride the Christmas train. We were easily able to walk to the train station, as well as tons of cool shops, restaurants, coffee shops, breweries, etc. This home has a gorgeous view of the Columbia River from their super cozy living room. We seriously loved this house, it had everything we needed and more. Wonderful decor too!

Great Location in Downtown Hood River

  • 4 of 5

We overall loved our stay at this property. It is well equipped in the kitchen and throughout with all the necessities of home. The location is within easy walking distance of the downtown area and the views were fantastic with lots of double rainbows appearing over the river throughout the day. The big issue was that the TV in the living room and in the bedroom near the kitchen were very frustrating to use. Very difficult to change channels...we thought it was a battery issue. We emailed Charles and he admitted it was a problem they hadn't been able to solve. For a property at this price level, having a TV that is easy to use is critical. If there are tricks to changing channels, leave more detailed instructions in the unit...even the younger generation couldn't figure it out!

Great place!

  • 5 of 5

First time in HR...loved it!! Our stay was great, the loft was perfect...what a VIEW! Loft has everything you could need, all the amenities & extras (shampoos, spices, dog beds, etc). We couldn’t get the main tv to change chanel’s but whatever. Also there are a lot of stairs (3 flights), so definitely not for elders or knee/hip issues.

I’d love to come stay again...great place AND close to downtown...we walked everywhere :)
