Perfect San Diego Base for Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon: Quiet, Central, & Immaculate!If you’re coming to San Diego, book this place immediately. We stayed for the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon and couldn’t have asked for a better location! It’s central to absolutely everything, yet quiet and peaceful. The home was spotless with ample room and every necessity for a comfortable stay.The view is stunning: lush local vegetation and gorgeous birds of paradise right outside the windows. It felt like a private retreat after busy race days.Julia is hands-down the best host we’ve ever had. She responds in minutes and is incredibly kind, helpful, and thoughtful. She made us feel welcome from check-in to checkout.Clean, peaceful, central, and run by a 5-star host. We’ll be back!

Originally from Maryland, in a suburb of DC, I've called San Diego home for almost 20 years. Both of my 2 boys were born here, and I now spend much of my time laughing with them and watching their little league baseball games. Additionally, our family has 2 dogs and a busy schedule packed with both pleasure and work. We enjoying going to the beach, skiing in the mountains, cooking good food, drinking wine and hanging out with friends!

I enjoy being a host, as it provides an opportunity to share our beautiful city of San Diego with travelers. I've met some wonderful guests along the way and I hope to continue to make new connections!

At its core, North Park is a creative hub—filled with murals, galleries, live music venues, and events like art walks and music festivals that give the neighborhood a constant cultural pulse. At the same time, it’s a food and craft beer hotspot, with independent restaurants, coffee shops, and breweries lining walkable streets like 30th Street and University Avenue.

The community merges historic charm (Craftsman homes and early 1900s roots) with a modern vibe. It feels urban and lively, but still neighborhood-oriented and community-driven, with farmers markets, small businesses, and a strong local identity.
