About Vacasa, OR - Oregon Coast Office

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

Nice house, would definitely recommend. A bit of a funky smell but noticed that in the area in general must be the dampness and ocean.

Older home that needs some work

  • 3 of 5

The location was nice. Dishes had to be washed before using as they were full of food. The freezer leaks into the refrigerator so we had to dump water every morning. Plenty of room though for 7 people and 3 dogs. Wif I and reception are spotty but that us expected at the beach. I would not rule out staying here again.

6715 Salal Place

This home is great for a group. We stayed on New Year's Eve and had family in the area that joined us for dinner and games at the home. The dining table was large enough for group games and the family room was perfect for having other family members talk, watch TV, etc. The main bathroom is very small, the size of a typical powder room in most homes and not much space to put bathroom items you've packed. The upstairs floor creaks quite loudly and if you have light sleepers this could be an issue. But it was comfy and we enjoyed the stay.

good price, okay location with some things needed

  • 4 of 5

We stayed for 3 nights with our 3 grown children. The layout was ideal for visiting and cooking. The walk to the beach was pleasant, but the beach itself was not accessible with high tide. There were some details left unchecked with an odor inside and dog bombs left in the parking area. Bring an air freshener and a shovel and you'll be set. The floor is quite warped for some reason. You are not loosing your equilibrium.

Disappointed but it grew on us

  • 3 of 5

When we arrived the house had a stale, wet, musty smell. We thought that maybe it was because it hadn't been stayed in for a while and got better after we opened windows. But now that we are home we can smell it on our belongings. House was clean and no evidence of previous tenants but it is very dated and old except for the kitchen. There us also an outdoor BBQ but we didn't use it because it was full of mold. This house also has two units, although the other tenant was quiet they did have a dog that barked from time to time making us feel less like we were on a quiet vacation in a house. Supplies and cooking utensils were amply supplied. Don't let the photos fool you, there is no fence to contain pets. Although you can hear the ocean you can not see it anywhere on the property and in my opinion is further away than beachfront. There is easy access 4 blocks away, but may be too far for someone walking with kids or dogs. The outside is heavily wooded and brushy and could use a good clearing to keep the spiders and pine needles out. We killed 5 spiders inside the house in a 3 night stay. There are cracks between the door jambs and doors which is probably how they get in. If the brush was cleared there may be a view from the top bedroom...maybe. Cleaning up outside may help with the spiders too especially this time of year. The neighborhood is quiet and friendly. All in all we made it work but was not our ideal quiet vacation away that we had hoped for, It reminded us of a cozy rustic remodel gone wrong.

OK place to stay, but could use some TLC

  • 4 of 5

We had a good experience overall. With some minor inconveniences, the property manager, Jack was more than compensatory. We had no major issues and enjoyed out stay. It may be a good idea to bring aluminum foil and saran wrap.
