About Vacasa, OR - Oregon Coast Office

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

Home was run down and dirty

 • 2 of 5

Cobwebs, outlets not working, fridge leaking water all over inside, doors filthy. Looks like home is for sale nothing kept up, porch light out, one garbage bag in kitchen with hole in it, poor WiFi. Kitchen was nicest area and mostly stocked well, large couch a plus.

Owner's Response: We apologize for what appears to be a lack of housekeeping and deferred maintenance. We will get both of these thoroughly addressed with our fall deep cleans and maintenance inspections.

Gleneden Beach

 • 4 of 5

The location of the property was great. The downstairs rooms are well insulated and quiet-perfect with a house full of teenage boys!

Pros-This was the perfect house for a weekend get away with family. It is close the the beach in a quiet neighborhood.

The kitchen was well stocked with dishware, pots and pans.

The kids had plenty of room to get away from the adults.

There was plenty of little amenities around the home-dish soap, laundry soap, shampoo, etc.

Cons-I think the house has fleas! My dog is on Comfortis and had a flea bath the day of our trip. He is now covered in fleas!

The house could use some updating.

Owner's Response: We are so happy to hear this guest thought the home was perfect for a family weekend getaway. We definitely have to agree! We had the home checked for fleas and none were present upon inspection, but we treated the home for fleas anyway. We are confident that it won't be a concern going forward.

needs cleaning and renovation

 • 1 of 5

This house, though roomy, was badly in need of a good deep cleaning. The floors sloped to the south, spider webs everywhere, dust and mold in places. Strangely, it had the most comfortable beds we've ever had at a VRBO. The fridge bottom was full of water from a faulty freezer. The kitchen sink faucet sprayed toward your face. Outdoor decks were full of beach stuff with little room to sit. The decks also had many boards that needed replacing.

One positive - it is in a great neighborhood, quiet, with a delightful 5 minute walk to the beach

If the owners would just clean thoroughly and spend some time on basic maintenance this could be a much better stay for guests.

Owner's Response: Deep cleaning and maintenance will be taken care of during the slower fall season. We apologize for any disappointments experienced.

Nice inside, would stay again

 • 4 of 5

Inside of the house is nice. The floor of the loft is very creaky, so when people are up there (especially at night) it can be very loud. The living area is large and couch seats several people. The outdoor area is basically just the deck and a little path that goes around, so there is not much place outside to sit, eat or socialize. The house does not look very nice from the front, but is nice inside and mostly well kept up. There is no welcome book or information on the town, restaurants, how to get to the beach or check . out instructions. There are lots of games available. Overall, it was a good place for us for the weekend and we would stay here again.
