"Buche" Eco-Vacation Rental with Sauna and Garden

Casa Creativa, with its two organic vacation apartments, is a place for people who love nature but also don’t want to miss out on cultural and culinary experiences within walking distance.

Our over 100-year-old half-timbered house is located in the small town of Bleckede, right between the Elbuferstraße and the Elbe Cycle Route, and has been lovingly restored using natural materials. The 1,200 m² garden is designed to blend with nature and borders the old sand dike at the back.

Take a long walk along the water or to the forest; explore the area on foot or by bike. Read a good book on the banks of the Elbe or in a café. Enjoy the forest swimming pool in Alt Garge, the wellness and health spa in Bad Bevensen, or the salt spa in Lüneburg. Visit the Wendland region with its circular villages and the cultural countryside tour between Ascension Day and Pentecost, the student city of Lüneburg, or the Hanseatic city of Hamburg.

Our vacation apartments are ideal for your vacation and also for longer stays. In the one-room “Buche” vacation apartment, you can enjoy the sauna and the small wellness bath with a rain shower and heated floors.

In the sleeping area, you’ll find a 1.60-meter-wide bed with two organic latex mattresses and a wardrobe. Adjacent to the living area—which features a sleeper sofa and a wood-burning stove—is the kitchenette with a stove, sink, and refrigerator.

Each apartment has (in addition to climate-friendly pellet central heating) a wood-burning stove for cozy evenings, even in fall and winter.

The half-timbered town of Bleckede on the Elbe River in the Lüneburg district, nestled amid the natural beauty of the Elbe floodplain, invites you to linger with its organic grocery store, bookstore, small cafés, and activities for both children and adults. Beavers, red kites, and white-tailed eagles call this area home.

In Bleckede, you’ll find the “Biosphärium” with a beaver center, a multimedia exhibition, and a children’s program; concerts and events at the castle; the Elbe ferry; boat tours; a bike rental service; raft and carriage rides, lovely little cafes and restaurants in courtyards or overlooking the Elbe, a charming bookstore, craft and home goods shops to browse, and all the usual shopping options from Aldi to organic grocery stores. Local recreational activities range from fishing and swimming (forest swimming pool 5 km away) to photography, concerts, and rural culture; experiencing nature; biking; walking; or horseback riding; as well as window shopping and relaxing in cafés and on the banks of the Elbe.

Lüneburg, a college town with its unique charm in the historic city center and the quaint, crooked half-timbered houses in the old town, is well worth a visit (22 km); the Wendland region, with its circular villages, organic farms, renewable energy initiatives, and the “Cultural Country Outing” (between Ascension Day and Pentecost), is also nearby.

Solo travelers and couples alike enjoy spending wonderful days here at the “Buche” vacation rental. In the Elbe River Valley, you’ll experience an exciting vacation any time of year with nature activities, forest swimming, the Biosphärium, horseback riding, or a handcar ride.

Bleckede is easily accessible by bus from the Lüneburg train station via the Hamburg public transit system.

Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have been following the hygiene guidelines issued by the Federal Center for Health Education, the Robert Koch Institute, and the German Tourism Association. We thoroughly clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces. You can check in on your own using a key safe. We also ask for your cooperation: Please remove the bed linens and air out the room before you leave.

To the left of the house is the guest garden shared by both vacation apartments. There is a private mini-terrace directly in front of your entrance. The second terrace, featuring a seating area, a beach chair, a swing bench, and lounge chairs, is shared by both vacation apartments.

The apartment with one bed (2 m long and 1.60 m wide, with two organic latex mattresses) and a 1.40 m-wide sleeper sofa is best suited for 1
