The unit was great, it was nearest to the kids area which my 4 year old loved! About 1/4 mile or less walk to the beach. Umbrella and 2 chairs are on the beach are included, which was great. for those considering longer stays, the unit did have a vacuum cleaner. There were no beach towels provided, but there were many bath towels. Avari provided to dishwasher pods and laundry pods.It was my first time in the area and we chose not to rent a car. I personally found it somewhat walkable. It was about a 10 minute walk along the beach to the pier, and there were several good restaurants within a 10 minute walk. On our last night I went to The Gulf and it was great, good food and good for kids. Google wasn’t able to find walking instructions, but we walked it fine despite the construction.I think there is room for improvement with Avari’s awareness of the facility. I was told there was no front desk who could hold my luggage until check in. Upon arrival, I talked with 2 nice ladies who would have been happy to hold my luggage! I also received conflicting instructions at checkout time.

We’re so glad to hear that you and your little one enjoyed your stay, Ali! It sounds like being close to the kids' area made your trip even more special, and we’re happy that the beach access and included beach service added to your experience. Thank you for sharing your thoughts about the walkability of the area. It’s great to know you found some delicious dining options nearby, especially The Gulf, which is a favorite for families. We appreciate your feedback regarding our team’s communication and the luggage situation. We strive to provide a seamless experience, and we’ll certainly work on improving our awareness of the facility and ensuring our guests have clear instructions. We hope you’ll consider visiting Fort Walton Beach again. There’s always more to explore, and we’d love to welcome you back!

great unit, easy access to parking

The unit was great, closest to parking, which we liked. Also simple quick pool access with slight ocean view. Nothing super fancy but great for us. AC was cold and good. Was also quiet. The pool is awesome and so is the beach. Asiago Skillet is highly recommended for breakfast, the biscuits are amazing.
