4+ Bedrooms, 3 Bathrooms, Sleeps 10 when rented with the separate cabin
I have been renting out vacation homes in the Sooke area for over 10 years. I love the Sooke area as a place to live or to vacation. I like to go kayaking and mountain biking.
Why Rob chose Sooke
This home is one of the few in the area with low bank beach access. There is a gentle sloping path to the beach and about 3 steps down onto the beach. It is a great place to launch a kayak. Kite surfing and sailboarding opportunities are nearby.
What makes this House unique
The beach is the defining feature of this home, but the hot tub which is practically right on the beach makes it just right.

My wife and I stayed with our 5 kids. We had a fabulous time at the beach house. Everything was perfect and Rob did a fantastic job with everything. The hot tub was huge and the fire pit was in the perfect location. I will definitely be back!
Owe loved it!
Our entire family loved this property. Great home and amazing natural setting. One of our favourites now!
Driftwood House Vacation perfection
We were a family of 5 adults and 2 kids. We had a great vacation at the Driftwood Beach house. We stayed in the little cabin and our kids and grand-kids stayed in the big house. Plenty of room for everyone. The grounds around the house made for some adventures for the boys and some quite time for others. The house was very clean and well equipped. The views from the balconies and hot-tub were fantastic. Overall we had a great 7 days. Would recommend to anyone that likes a quite relaxing vacation.
Nice, older home in a scenic location
Nicely equipped older home with rustic cabin in a very scenic location. Beautiful gardens surrounding the home added to the general privacy of the property. Excellent linens especially upstairs in the house. A bit of a walk down to the secluded beach area. Cell service is spotty but the home has wi-fi and a landline. Home had a very unpleasant smell intermittently the whole week we were there in mid-July - owner/manager did not offer to come to look for a solution, therefore we gave a lower rating.
This spot is perfect for a stay on Vancouver Island (great view across the strait to the Olympic Peninsula, only an hour away from anywhere you want to go in Victoria). We loved the location and the property. We even got a great view of sea lions in the strait and a couple deer down on the waterfront.
But in addition to all of that, Rob was incredibly helpful. We accidentally left some items in the property in the rush to make the ferry back to the mainland. Rob made sure to send us the items in a timely fashion and with minimal effort on our part, making a stressful mistake painless.
Great location. Home was well equipped and lots of space for our family. Loved the beach and garden
Wonderful spot. We loved spending time on the beach, use of the hot tub, cooking hot dogs and smores at the fire pit and enjoying the amazing views from the decks. A very comfy home that easily accommodated 6 adults and 2 grandchildren. Cute cabin and the garden and paths were enchanting. The home had character and charm.
This is your place if you love west coast beaches. The house has a beautiful beach, and is located a short drive from French Beach Provincial Park. Jordan River, and China Beach, Sombrio, and Port Renfrew are must-see locations. Humpback Whales and Orcas are a common sight in this area and are occasionally visible from Driftwood Beach House -- more than occasionally in the summer months! Book a whale watching tour or go salmon fishing to add adventure and great memories to your west coast trip. The months from November to April are good surfing months in this area.
