True beachfront beach house
Everything you could want in a beach house. Grand children had a great time. Saw dolphins, tons of sand dollars, crabs, sea life. Would definitely do it again.
A wonderful family week!
Everything was so lovely for a relaxed family vacation. There were only five of us there and so the beds worked out well and we enjoyed the well-appointed kitchen and the laundry and the toys and chairs available. The site is right on the beach and shielded from the road so the only sound we heard was from the waves. Spectacular sunsets were enjoyed from the deck each night.
Ideal Family Rental
We had a delightful stay at this wonderful property. One of my key requirements is that the rental be right on the beach. My son is 9 and wants to be outside 24/7. This home perfectly fit the bill! I can keep my eye on him from the beach or the back deck, yet have all the convenience of a fridge, bathroom, etc. Backyard is largely shaded in the afternoon which is awesome. I was visiting family who live in Ft Myers so it was nice for them to be able to come over for the day and not feel they had to pack a ton of things. I cooked quite a bit and found everything I needed in the kitchen. The pool table was a nice distraction when I wanted him out of the sun for a bit and the flat screen tv hooked up to his Xbox in no time flat. Owner easy to work with and had no trouble whatsoever with gaining entry, deposit return, etc. Would rent again in a heartbeat!
My husband and I were thrilled with the location of the beach house! It was right on the beach but fairly secluded. Publix grocery store was across the street, where there was a trolley stop to take us up and down the island (we rode it to Times Square (exact change needed)! Even though my husband had to go to work while we stayed there, he felt like he was on vacation! We relaxed every evening to gorgeous sunsets and the soothing sound of the waves! My husband has back problems and sometimes has trouble sleeping even in expensive hotels, but he was well rested every morning after sleeping on the wonderful king mattress! My daughter and grandkids were able to come over from Ft. Lauderdale and stay with us a couple nights in the guest room, and on the futons located in the pool table room (a couple steps down off the living/dining room.) My grandson kept telling me he loved my new house! ;) I did most of our laundry at a laundromat about 15 minutes away called "Happy Wife" (air conditioned and clean facility where I could wash 5 loads at once.) But there is a washer and dryer located in a room under the house, along with beach chairs and some other beach items. We all had such a wonderful time and hope to stay there again!
We appreciate your kind words and are so happy that you enjoyed your stay!
This was our second time staying at this beach house. We absolutely love it! The location can't be beat; you can walk right out onto the beach from the deck, it's across the street from the grocery store, and is within walking distance to the marina, water sports and restaurants. The house is nicely appointed, spacious and clean, beds are comfortable and the pool table gives a nice alternative to the beach.
Pics and description do not do it justice
This place is well appointed for a relaxing week at the beach and has every imaginable nearby convenience (starting with the island Publix being across the street). We had three teen boys that were never bored with the area.
The sand literally starts at the doorsteps. This is as beachfront as a rental can get. There is both a shaded picnic table and a large open deck that seats 6. There was a lady wanting to get off the public beach area and set up in the yard because it was nicer with both gulf sand and the great tropical trees and plants. Lots more beach toys provided than one would expect- rafts, boards, buckets/shovels, charis, etc. Lots of covering overnight for your beach gear under the house.
The landscaping is outstanding, keeping out the noise, blocking the view of the street, and creating lots of shade on much of the lot. The on premises beach area is partially shaded until almost noon if needed. Our boston terriers loved chasing lizards and exploring the lot.
If you dont want a rental with sunken old matresses in the bedrooms, this is the place for you. Too often when its a private rental the beds are rough. These are great.
There is a pool table but we were too busy outside to use it. We also did a half day charter with Rush Charters (Chris Rush 239 229 5388) and he got us on enough fish for an evening meal and a long fight landing a 7 ft 175 lb tarpon.
Damage deposit returned promptly and box with pillow, frisbee, and our fish hooks (oops-forgot that stuff) showed up at our door a week later. Rent with confidence.
Thank you for your review. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay!
