Welcome to the Gästehaus am Sonnenberg
Our two apartments are located on the outskirts of Schweigen-Rechtenbach, at the foot of the Sonnenberg.
The peaceful setting, with views of the vineyards and the Rhine Valley, is perfect for relaxation.
The apartments are modern, tastefully decorated, and bright.
The kitchenette includes a four-burner stove with an oven, a refrigerator, a microwave, a Senseo coffee pad machine, a drip coffee maker, a toaster, an egg cooker, and plenty of cookware, dishes, and glasses to round out the amenities.
The living/sleeping area is visually separated by a room divider and features a double bed and a sleeper sofa.
A dining table, small chest of drawers, TV, safe, electric blinds, and free Wi-Fi access are available in every apartment.
The apartments feature a separate bathroom with a wheelchair-accessible shower and high-quality bathroom cabinetry, including a large mirror cabinet. A filled liquid soap dispenser, cotton pads, and facial tissues are already provided upon your arrival. A separate makeup mirror and a hair dryer round out the bathroom amenities.
On the spacious terrace, you can start your day with breakfast and wind down the evening with a glass of fine Palatinate wine.
Free parking is available right next to the house. For a flat fee, you’re also welcome to bring your dog. (see price list)
The village centre is about a 3-minute walk away. There, you can enjoy a wide variety of dining options (including international and Palatinate cuisine) and the typical Palatinate wine taverns.
Schweigen-Rechtenbach offers good shopping options, as well as a pharmacy, a dentist, a general practitioner, and a pediatrician.
Our house is surrounded by vineyards, and the edge of the forest is just a few minutes’ walk away.
From here, you can embark on both easy and challenging hikes in the Palatinate Forest and into neighbouring Alsace.
The surrounding area features many bike paths that also lead into neighbouring Alsace, as our town is located directly on the German-French border.
A detour to the old town of the neighbouring French town of Wissembourg should be a “must-see” for tourists.
We’d be happy to help you plan your excursions—just let us know.
