It was an honor to stay in this beautiful historical house. Perfect location. We walked everywhere! Easy parking behind the house. Great communication from host. We would stay here again!

This house is in the perfect location. I loved the off-street parking. We parked our cars when we got there and didn't need them until we left because it was so easy to walk everywhere. When we were at the house we loved sitting out on the patio. The historic nature of the house was perfect in that area. We would definitely love to stay there again.

This home is great for enjoying Old Town Alexandria. It’s in the heart of Old Town, walking distance to bars, restaurants and the water. The courtyard is great for happy hour noshing and wine, before a yummy seafood dinner. The house is well equipped, uses a Kuerig so bring K Cups or CVS and Trader Joe’s are just around the corner. Also coffee and breakfast at Tatte is just steps out from the back driveway. DCA is 10-15 min Uber or taxi from the house. Enjoy the history of the area and GW’s home!

This was our second stay at this charming and comfortable home. It was absolutely perfect for our stay. We parked the car in one of the two off street spaces ( a HUGE bonus in Old Town) and never moved it until we departed-the location cannot be beat! We walked to everything- the farmers' market, Torpedo Factory ( highly recommend!), the water taxi to Georgetown, Founders Park on the Potomac and everything King Street has to offer. King Street is one block away! The neighborhood is just beautiful and historical tours stop several times a day at the townhome. (But they are not at all distracting with the layout and the privacy that the english basement rooms offer). The house is a perfect size and is lovely and immaculate. We had everything we needed. The rear courtyard is very private. Great communication with the host. We hope to stay again!

Our 4 day visit to the George Washington house in Alexandria was excellent. Location was right in the middle of lots of choice coffee & restaurants spots, easy to get to the Dash & Bus routes with connections to Metro rail. An easy 6-8 block walk down to the Potomac River & Wharf and more places of interest & museums than we could cover in 4 days. Short bus & Metro to Washington DC, and easy transport via Metro to McLean Va. & Wolf Trap, where we attended an amazing show on Tuesday night. The vibe in Alexandria was terrific, history around every corner, people friendly & we were treated like “home folks.” The property was an authentic historical home with tons of history, and it’s own personality, not modern, it ain’t a big fancy hotel, but has character, lots of space & convenient to any place you’d want to go, for any reason! The area around the home was safe, day & night! A very BIG highlight is the host, Amanda, who responded quickly, made several accommodations for our group and could not have been easier to deal with. In our past experiences with VRBO over the years, host issues have been few, and exceptional hosts the usual, and our experience with Amanda puts her at the very top!! We will return to Alexandria & this property and spend more time doing the things we ran out of time for. Thanks Amanda & VRBO for an outstanding experience!!

I had a hard time ranking this stay overall. The location was top notch, and the place is charming, but that wears off when you want to relax after a long day.There are MANY things that needed maintenance and up keeping. Pillows were uncomfortable and felt like very cheap Amazon purchases. The pull out couch bedsheets was stained and clearly never washed. Towels are ragged and worn. Shower knobs were loose, and door handles are on the verge of falling off. We were told after we booked that the bathroom sink downstairs was broken. Apparently it's broken for a week. Also, the claw tub is prominent in the picture, but is only meant for show. For the price we paid, I'm disappointed with the overall experience. The location is fantastic. However, at this price point I expect a good location, comfort, and cleanliness. Again, they charge a cleaning fee, but the bed sheets in the couch had a questionable stain that was clearly unwashed. On top of that, you have a list of chores to do for checkout.
