Busy street but near grocery stores and metro station. Kitchen isn’t very well stocked just basics. Charming house nicely decorated. Decent place to stay.

As noted in our listing, the home is on a busy street, and that central location puts guests close to the shopping, restaurants, and historic charm of King Street, along with convenient access to grocery stores and the Metro. Being close to so much of what Old Town has to offer is one of the things our guests most often rave about. Our kitchen is equipped with the essentials for cooking and dining during a short stay. While no vacation home can anticipate every guest’s individual cooking preferences, we regularly receive positive feedback on our kitchen amenities. We had an amazing stay at this gorgeous townhome. It was exceptionally clean and well equipped. The location was close to all the restaurants and fun in Old Town. Bonus was the fire pit and private backyard. Collin was a great host. Highly recommend this property!

Great property. Only one small complaint - light sleepers should know the traffic noise in the front bedroom facing the main street is very loud. But, we enjoyed the location and the fire pit was great when the sun went down.

For future guests, the front bedroom does face a main street in Old Town, and as noted in the listing, some city noise can be expected. Many guests choose this home specifically for its central location and walkability, but those who are light sleepers may prefer one of the rear bedrooms, which tend to be quieter.

What a terrific house! Great to hangout in living room at night and also on a wonderful outside terrace! Bedrooms were very comfortable with great beds.Entire house is nicely appointed. They supplied coffee, cream and sugar which was very appreciated. Thank you for everything Collin and Laurie!

Highly recommend this property! GREAT location. Hosts were overly communicative and very accessible throughout the entire process. We had a couple unfortunate circumstances pop up (our oldest got sick) and Collin/ Laurie handled the situation SO well (we also were very communicative on the front end so that helped!) Only criticism - master bedroom shower is a bit finicky - so just keep that in mind when turning it on - it takes a while to warm up and then it turns scalding! I think this is a great spot and would definitely choose this again if/ when we come back!

Lovely location. Collin was easily available through text and call throughout the stay, which was very helpful. There were some challenges with parking which is largely due to the reality of being in Old Town and confusion of what street parking was available, but my group and I made it work. Carpooling definitely made things easier. Beds were comfy and the house was spacious. The open concept for the living and dining room was perfect for a group.

This property was absolutely fantastic for our Christmas season visit to old town. We were in walking distance of the vibrant downtown area, and the house was very nicely appointed. The decor was warm and cozy and everything that we needed was available, including coffee, creamer, sugar, etc. We never had a hard time finding parking on the street right in front of the house. We would definitely stay here again.

My wife and I stayed for 21 days and really enjoyed ourselves in the Old Town part of Alexandria. It was within walking distance of everything including the grocery store. The metro was close for any foray's into DC as were the many shops and restaurants on King street. Mount Vernon was a short drive away. We had visits from our daughters while there. Our dog was very much at home there too especially with the fenced in yard. The property was exactly as pictured in the vbro ad. It was very clean with plenty of towels available. We used the full sized washer and dryer that was in the rental. It is spacious yet cozy. The beds were comfortable. Our hosts could not have been more helpful and very prompt to return our inquiries. The Madison DELIVERS!! This home is warm and cozy with peaceful energy in every space of the house. The master bedroom suite upstairs was beautifully decorated. The Master bathroom was spacious, the shower had great water pressure and there were plenty of towels for guest use. There is a total of three bed rooms in the house and each one has comfortable bedding and adequate closet space for your luggage or things. The downstairs living room/ TV is super comfortable and clean with a huge TV to watch your favorite shows. The kitchen was a coffee lovers dream, and was fully stocked to support any cooking or preparation for dining. There is a beautiful outside sitting area with a fire pit and hung lights that created an outdoor oasis. I could not partake in the outside due to the rainy weather, but it was still beautiful to look at through the floor to ceiling windows in the living room. Lastly, but certainly not least, The host Collin was a Gem!! His communication prior to and during my stay was on point. He addressed all my questions and even accommodated a request for me regarding my check in time. He thought of everything as if he was staying there and wanted to insure that my stay exceeded expectations which it did. 10 out of 10!!Thank you,Leila

This home is part of a highly sought after neighborhood in OldTown Alexandria. The history of Alexandria, Virginia, begins with the first European settlement in 1695. Over the next century, the town became a significant port. In 1801, much of Alexandria was swept into the new District of Columbia; it was damaged along with much of the rest of the capital during the War of 1812. In 1846, Alexandria was returned to Virginia, along with the rest of the District's territory on the western side of the Potomac River. After Virginia seceded in 1861, Alexandria was swiftly captured by Union forces and held for the remainder of the American Civil War. In the late 20th century, Alexandria became a key part of the rapidly growing Northern Virginia region.

Alexandria is safe, walkable and close to everything. We love being here and know you will too.
