This was our 6th time visiting Oocident. It is it home away from home. This is where we go to component unwind and relax. It is not luxurious, but it's a wonderful place to simplify your life for a short while. We love staying there, and Phyllis and Jen have become dear friends.

A rustic old boat house right on the water. If you are comfortable with outdoor living, you will love it.The hosts are extremely friendly and kind. We loved our stay. The only thing we missed was air conditioning.

Anyone who isn't bothered by staying in a rustic room with a compost toilet, like I am not, then this is the place for you. A short ride from the marina boat launch, this private island is situated among some of the most picturesque spots on the river. What a joy to wake up and have coffee with the million dollar views of the nearby light house and large ships going by. Boys had great joy fishing and pulling in big, small mouth bass. After finding out the bass loved worms, the host glady took boys to marina to purchase more. We loved the history of the island, the host and her home. We had such a relaxing time. Thanks for your hospitality, Phyllis!
