About this property

Historic Downtown Harriman

This fully furnished, utilities included, 3BR/2BA is located in the Historic Downtown area of Harriman. It offers an open space living room/ kitchen setup for mingling while preparing your meals. Off of the back of the kitchen, enter out onto one of the two decks which are the true gems of this property. It is a very peaceful, large covered porch overlooking a beautiful, large back yard. Beneath the covered porch is the second porch at ground level to the yard with an entrance into the house through the full sized basement. In the basement you'll find the laundry area and the second bathroom. The remaining basement space is being further developed into additional play space...think ping pong, darts, a couple couches and tv.

It's located just two blocks from the classic Killiffer park, amongst all the old Victorian style homes lining the street. The house is also walking distance to Roane St. where you'll find a variety of restaurants, antique stores and other local shops.

There are two excellent local lake hang-outs nearby; Kingston City park and Lakeshore Park. Kingston City Park is just 10 minutes drive and offers boat ramps, pickleball, picnic tables and a playground. Lakeshore park is a bit more laid back where you can set in your kayak in a more secluded less populated area.

This region has many vacation day trips within a short distance. There is the Lost Sea Adventure in Sweetwater, TN with underground caverns and an underground lake in under and hour drive. Frozen Head State park with two waterfalls within a mile hike, is a half hour away. There's also plenty of things to do in Oakridge and Knoxville!
This location is also perfect for folks wanting an ideal location for a vacation base camp or for those who are looking to move to the region and would like a fully furnished home to stay in while they house hunt. It is also ideal for folks working contract jobs in the region, such as Oak Ridge, without having to deal with Oak Ridge traffic.

About the host

Host profile image
This is my third furnished rental in this area of Tennessee. I have another in Harriman that's a bit more of a countryside setting and a place in neighboring Kingston. I love the people I get to meet from this hosting and I love this region of the great state of TN. If this place is booked feel free to reach out about my others that may be available!

Why they chose this property

Harriman has the hospitality of a small southern town, and yet the downtown is undergoing a huge revitalization! Good eats and good times for all ages. There's a sweet little park just two blocks away surrounded by the most beautiful Victorian style homes, in one direction and a splash pad just a few blocks in the other direction.

What makes this property unique

This house is in a great neighborhood, just a hop, skip and jump to downtown. It offers an upper and lower deck and a peaceful backyard for relaxing.
