About the property

House, 3 Bedrooms + Loft + Den, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 8-10)

'Your home and hospitality for my best friends and I have been a slice of heaven. The solitude is a wonderful break from our hectic everyday lives.'

When you arrive at Wild Oak Farm you will leave the hustle and bustle of your daily life behind. The 700-foot long driveway leads you to the Tree House which is perched in the center of the 25 acre property. Enter the doorway under the house and ascend the spiral staircase into your vacation retreat. You will not be disappointed. The Tree House exemplifies rustic elegance; from the massive granite fireplace and incense-cedar trunk that are the centerpoints of the entire house, to the uncluttered, yet well-appointed bedrooms and full amenity kitchen.

The Tree House is a three bedroom, two bath house perfect for families and friends looking for the unique vacation home with lots of special touches. Each bedroom has views to the majestic old-growth oaks that forest the property. The master bedroom features a king-size bed and a sliding door that leads directly to the wrap-around deck. The Loft Room has a olympic queen-size bed on the main floor and a full-size bed in the sleeping loft (a kid favorite). The Triangle Room has a queen-size bed, and features local Yosemite art. The Tree House comfortably accommodates six adults and can accommodate more in the loft and the sleeper couch in the family room.

The house is wrapped by a wooden deck that provides views into the surrounding mountains. You can access the deck via the french-doors in the kitchen. The hammock on the slate back deck is a shady retreat in the summertime. The hot tub is a great place to unwind after hiking in Yosemite all day and has great views of the stars and surrounding mountains.

About Todd Bruno

I grew up on the rugged coast of Oregon and have always had an appreciation for the wonders of our planet. I have been a park ranger for over 20 years and spent 13 years working in beautiful Yosemite. Part of my joy in being a vacation rental owner/manager is listening to my guests and offering my knowledge of the park to suite their vacation plans.

Todd Bruno purchased this house in 1999

Why Todd Bruno chose Yosemite Area

25 acres of privacy.........a custom home with a cedar tree inside!!! I immediately fell in love with this home. Over the years I have enjoyed putting in the outdoor solar shower, the hot tub and surrounding landscape and other projects. The architecture, the layout and the views both ground and inspire me. For many years my extended family and I have enjoyed our own holidays there, creating lasting memories.

What makes this house unique

Views of the seclusion, the awesome cedar tree and the great Mariposite granite fireplace. It's one of a kind!

A little piece of heaven in the middle of the woods.

We loved staying in this beautiful comfortable home.. It had more than enough beds and linens for our big family. You could see that somebody really cares about this home. What made it even more perfect what's the surroundings. Even though we did not get snow like we hoped, the kids played outside the whole day finding an adventure behind every tree. The highlight of their day was to sit in the Jacuzzi just before they came in at night to warm up.

Great location. Awesome land. Great living room with fireplace. House was cool. Somewhat dated but had a cool vibe. Had to buy a coffee maker and hair dryer. Hot tub was great.

Owner's Response: Thanks Pat for your business! In the last 14 years of running the Tree House I've gone through 5 coffee makers that have ALL malfunctioned and stopped working. So I ceased buying electronic coffee makers and have provided a French press which has no mechanical parts. I find that presses make better coffee as well.

Cozy well loved home in beautiful setting

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay at this sweet cozy home, the house was well stocked and included games our daughter enjoyed. The house is well laid out and we easily could have stayed another few days, it was truly relaxing.

Looks exactly like the pictures. Great place to stay

  • 5 of 5

We were 2 adults and 2 teenagers.

This was a great place to stay as a gateway to Yosemite. The house looked exactly like the photographs. It was spacious and comfortable and very private with an abundance of wildlife seen in the grounds.

The hottub was a lovely bonus for relaxing and watching the stars.

The kitchen is very well equipped for cooking. There were lots of board games. The terrace is a lovely place to sit.

One tiny thing. The website said there was a hairdryer. We couldn't find one anywhere.

Great Stay for Yosemite Adventure

  • 5 of 5

We had a great stay at the Tree House for our first trip out to Yosemite. The owner was very responsive to any questions that I had prior to arriving. The house was an easy drive to Yosemite, it took about an hour to get to the valley so leave early if you want to avoid those late morning/early afternoon traffic jams that are bound to happen! We also found time one day to drive down to Sequoia National Park, it was about 2-2.5 hours down the road, but well worth the day trip! Loved the solitude that the house provided, being on 25 acres was great! Would definitely visit again!
