A Perfect Getaway! The house was clean, cozy and well-stocked with everything you would need. The views of the water from the house downstairs and upstairs were beautiful. It was so relaxing to wake every morning to such a great view. The bed was very comfortable. The location is perfect, quiet and relaxing. We spent a lot of time on the dock enjoying morning coffee and the view. It was amazing to watch and hear the Loons. Swimming and floating in the water which was clear and the perfect temperature was where we spent most of our time. It was the perfect place to relax! The host was very responsive and their instructions were great. We had a wonderful time and would definitely stay again!

Well appointed cabin on a lovely lake. Quiet, restful, and filled with the sounds of lions. One day we found a huge bald eagle in the tree outside the cabin. Another a great blue heron on the lake’s shore. Definite upgrade from a standard “camp”. Nice kitchen. Washer and dryer. Easy lake entry. Well water. Heat and A/C (though we needed neither). Thoughtful touches throughout. Host was fabulous, with near instant replies. Tasty bakery just 3 min away kept us supplied in blueberry muffins. Hoping to return!

I hesitate to give such a glowing review of this house for fear it will be fully booked the next time I want to book it, but it's a pretty special spot. I'm so thankful my family and I got to spend some rare time all together here at Flying Pond. Hopefully we can do it again.

This property was exactly as described. Was Great to relax on the lake and do some nature watching and fishing. The loons were awesome and there was an eagle flying from tree to tree seen from the relaxing morning on the dock. The communication from the host, Tom was excellent and we would highly recommend renting from them. There was plenty of shops in the small towns to explore. The Station/Store had everything handy for convenience . Everything was clean and the kitchen was well supplied and the bathrooms had plenty of towels. I give this an A and highly rated.

I have been coming to Maine since 1969. We have loved this spot since 1982. We recently bought a year round house near by and have decided to make this beautiful summer house available to guests.

The house is on the lake and in the woods but walking distance from Flying Pond Variety which has gas and almost anything else you might need in a pinch. Also it is only a mile from Scapes, an amazing breakfast and lunch spot on Minnehonk Lake.
