All you hear is the birds

Quiet and secluded, but close enough to amenities if that’s what you’re after. Very clean and comfortable. We had a great stay while exploring Cape Breton.Beautiful sunsets!!

This is a lovely cabin with great views over Bras D'Or lake. Very clean and comfortable. Two nice bedrooms with a loft - has low ceiling but very cosy. Steep gravel road up to cabin but easy with any SUV. The host is easy to communicate with and helpful. Very private location.

The view was spectacular, the host was very nice and it was very clean. It was a little off the beaten path but if you want peace and tranquility it is perfect. It felt very spacious with the open concept. Overall I would definitely recommend a stay here. Just make sure you have 4 wheel or all wheel drive as the road up was steep.

Looking for peace and quiet with an amazing view; this is the place to go. The wooden cottage is located up a hill with an amazing view on Lake Bras d’Or. The pictures are 100% accurate. Only thing to keep in mind, the drive up the hill is quite steep and the gravel road is quite bumpy. If you don’t drive a 4x4 or an awd vehicle, make sure your car is not too close to the ground or you could scrape and cause damage.

A slice of heaven

This property, location and view was paradise. The cottage was so very clean, cozy and so well stocked you couldn't need or want for anything. Just bring your clothes and food and you are all set. The morning sun rises and evening sunsets were absolutely stunning and breathtaking! You had nothing but peace and serenity and seclusion and privacy. I never wanted to leave and I definitely plan on going back again and again!!

Peace and Beauty Overlooking Bras d'Or Lake

We booked this magical getaway to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary in Nova Scotia This home was a perfect launching place to explore Cape Breton. Plenty of hiking, beach exploring, swimming, and adventure all within 3 hour's drive. Overlooking Bras d'Or Lake, we enjoyed a peaceful vacation with nighttime views of the Milky Way. While the driveway is steep, it was no problem for our 2-wheel drive Hyundai Elantra. The cabin was very clean and had all of the amenities we needed. Great communication with Leon and a perfect overall experience. Such a lovely place.

Amazing Cottage with amazing views!

This is a beautiful log home overlooking the Bras d'Or Lakes. The minute you walked in you are greeted by the beautiful smell of cedar. There are lots of windows to let in the beautiful breeze and the lovely sunshine. The bedrooms are quite large with large closets, really comfortable beds, beautiful pillows and a cozy duvet. The kitchen is equipped with everything you could possibly want to cook your dinners. The large, wrap around deck is perfect for watching the sun go down over the lake and for star gazing at night. We just can't say enough about this property, we absolutely loved our stay! The host was so friendly and always easy to contact. Thank you so much for the lovely stay Leon!

I rented the Cabin to have some solitude, peace and quiet. It was all of that. The cabin is clean, quaint, beautiful, and set up really nice. The view of the lake from the Cabin and front porch is spectacular. You have all need for cooking and place settings. I would make one suggestion, is to place a microwave if possible? I hiked the Skyline trail on the Cabot Trail, it was amazing. I saw a huge Rabbit on the lawn one evening. I videoed two amazing birds on the Post that holds the flag. On a late afternoon walk, I hiked down the road to the cabin onto the road in front of the lake. I walked a quarter of a mile to the right and as I was walking, two deer came out and almost ran me over. They almost stepped on my feet they were so close. What an amazing experience. The cabin is beautiful inside and out. It is in a remote and peaceful spot. I recommend for a peaceful, beautiful spot to have to your own, stay in this wonderful cabin.

Remote beautifully secluded mountain cabin with gorgeous views!The cabin is beautiful! Full of light! Very comfortable, very clean and very well equipped with everything we needed and more! The well-stocked kitchen was a delight to cook in. The unobstructed view of the lake from the deck is beautiful! A perfect spot to enjoy the absolute sound of silence, gorgeous sunsets and fabulous night skies! As expected due to the location up the mountain, it is helpful to have a higher clearance vehicle like an suv rather than a sedan.Thank you Leon, for opening up your beautiful home to us! It is exactly what we were looking for!

Nous avons apprécié nous retrouver en nature dans ce lieu si calme avec une vue magnifique et de beaux couchers de soleil. Il y a tout le nécessaire pour cuisiner et même quelques aliments pour dépanner le premier soir si on a oublié d'arrêter à l'épicerie. Il faut bien sûr un véhicule à quatre roues motrices pour monter la côte et il peut arriver que le wifi ne soit pas accessible mais ça ne dure pas longtemps.

Superbe propriété.

Ce fut un très beau séjour dans ce magnifique chalet. Très propre et les lits sont très confortable s. Par contre, pour aller visiter plusieurs endroits de la région, nous avons trouvé le trajet en voiture un peu long pour rejoindre la route principale surtout lorsque nous revenions en soirée!
