THE BOAT: A cozy, rustic floating cabin in Ballard (nearly 40 feet total length including the swim step). Enjoy panoramic water views, a seating area up top, and a functional sink/countertop (no cooking appliances for safety).
Sleeping and Bathrooms:
Bedding: The boat has a sleeping bag as a cabin/camping set up. A blanket is provided is provided as well for your own choice, but expect an authentic, rustic boat setup rather than luxury hotel bedding.
Restrooms: The boat has a basic marine toilet for quick use, but guests should use the nearby marina bathhouse facilities for full showers. Its boat owner wish not to charge triple on "clean fee" as AirB&B renters do.
Transportation Option: Since the boat owner lives less than 10 minutes from SeaTac Airport, he can offer to pick up his guests (for a fee like Uber, especially lower to the marina to help since it is a bit far from SeaTac Airport, and it's only an option upon his availability, not obligation). He might also have an extra used car, but please ask when you meet him or his associates.
Requirements:
Sleep two, or 29/person/night extra for any third person (as max for safety concern --with camera at the marina 24/7 enforcement, pls).
Marina Amenities:
Dining: A fantastic restaurant is right on-site in the marina, offering great food and waterfront views.
Access & Parking: Parking is just a few steps away (on the boat left-side parking spot, up to 24 hours), and Uber, Lyft, or taxis can drive right onto the dock directly to the boat.
Weather & Environment:
While the marina is well-protected, we strongly encourage checking the weather before booking. Nighttime is typically the quietest and calmest environment for another different experience --but not always! Sleeping on a swinging boat during a storm or heavy winds is no fun for some. Other than that, enjoy your unique experience to the fullest!
