"Waldhaus an der Wiese" with fantastic views + wallbox + sauna + stove

Welcome to the “Waldhaus an der Wiese” in Uelsen.

Our cosy bungalow is situated in a sunny clearing in the Uelsen forest and holiday area, surrounded by birches, pines, oaks, and firs. Behind the house, you’ll enjoy a wonderful view across meadows and pastures and can watch the cattle grazing. Especially in the morning, when the sun rises over the meadow and you’re sitting in the sunroom with a cup of coffee—an unforgettable moment! Here you’ll enjoy heavenly peace and quiet—you’ll hear the birds chirping and can spot hares and storks in the meadow. About a 10-minute walk away is the idyllic natural pond “Die Statt”—a beautiful, almost magical spot in the middle of the forest and a nearby destination for a stroll.

In Uelsen, you can be active or simply relax—whatever you prefer: The beautiful outdoor forest pool, the cosy indoor pool with a giant slide and a magnificent panoramic view of the surrounding meadows, the mini-golf course, the charming Blekker Farm Café (with a small farm shop), the Bronze Age House, the huge adventure playground, and the indoor tennis facility—including several outdoor courts—offer variety, fun, and relaxation., If you love long bike or mountain bike rides, you’ll find the perfect “base” here and can set out directly from the house on your rides through the forested, hilly surroundings or into the nearby Netherlands.

The “Waldhaus” is a wonderful place for both relaxation and activity—far away from everyday life, surrounded by nature.

A few more notes: You’ll have your own sauna and a cosy shower area (cold/warm) in a secluded part of the garden—with a fantastic view over the meadows and pastures! Dressing gowns, large sauna towels, and sauna infusion scents are provided. ... You’re also welcome to light the small Danish wood-burning stove in the living area from early October through late April. During the warmer months, we ask that you avoid using the stove whenever possible to prevent smoke from bothering the neighbors. Thank you! There’s a fire pit in the garden that you’re welcome to use even in the summer :-).

A little tip: We love our forest cabin and occasionally block off dates for ourselves. Sometimes those plans don’t work out—so feel free to enquire even about blocked-off dates. Maybe they’ll work out perfectly for you.
