Oceanfront Yurt Vancouver Island

Located in Black Creek, on the east coast of Vancouver Island. Seaview is a 168-acre working farm where green pastures, towering trees and mountain views meet the Strait of Georgia.

Located on a mile of oceanfront, our 800 sq foot Yurt sleeps up to six guests, with all the comforts of home. Comforts include a fully equipped kitchen, large bathroom with jetted soaker tub, gas fireplace and so much more! The Yurt is adjacent to 4 seasonal RV sites.

The Yurt sleeps up to six guests, with a king-sized bed in the master bedroom, two twins in the loft and a pull out couch in the living room. All linens and towels are included. There is wrap around deck with a BBQ and outdoor seating. Our outdoor fire pit is great for roasting marshmallows, sharing campfire stories and relaxing under the stars.

Seaview Game Farm knows that pets are an important part of your family and we are happy to have them stay with us. There is fee of $50/stay. Pet owners are fully responsible for their pets during their stay. Please keep your pet on a leash at all times, pick up after your pet, and refrain from leaving them alone in the yurt.

Seaview Game Farm is centrally located on Vancouver Island. With Campbell River to its north, and Courtenay to its south; the farm is a great place to use as your homebase while you explore all the wonders the island has to offer. Hiking, kayaking, fishing, swimming and many more adventures await. With the beach at your doorstep and the comforts of home, Seaview Game Farm is the perfect Vancouver Island getaway.

Beautiful place right on the Salish sea! The yurt is beautiful, spacious and well equipped. A great place to stay with the family. Our kid really enjoyed playing with the lego set. A very nice vacation!

Such an amazing place to stay for our first time on Vancouver Island! We had the most beautiful sunrise to wake up to on the first day. We did have a bit of trouble getting into the gates but that was our fault for getting there so late at night, the host was super responsive when we had that trouble too. So nice to hear the waves at night, great unique place to stay while exploring the island. Would 100% stay here again if I get the chance to come back to the island.

Great one week stay. Being right on the water was fabulous being able to hear the waves for our morning coffee right through to our nights around the fire pit. House was well stocked and very comfortable. Can’t wait to return next summer.

Great spot for a family getaway

We really enjoyed our stay in the yurt at Seaview Farm. The yurt is really well appointed with everything you need to make your stay comfortable. And the dog was welcomed too with a bed and dishes ready. The location is great, tucked away in a secluded spot right near the water.

Fantastic place

This Yurt exceeded our expectations. This area was beautiful with all the quiet and privacy anyone could wish for. Fully stocked kitchen made cooking easy and we stayed toasty warm despite the cold weather.

Birthday weekend

This place is perfect for a combo of storm watching, stunning sunsets and is a real gem. It a very cozy spot and although the storm was noisy the warmth and big tub and bed made it the perfect way to spend a birthday weekend.

Hidden Gem!

We love love, love everything about this place. It’s serene. We spent five days of pure relaxation surrounded by the ocean with constant visits from cruise ships, deer, bunnies, squirrels and birds. We loved visiting the farm animals several times a day. It is well stocked and comfortable. The kitchen is facing the ocean, which I loved. Like I said, I loved everything about this place. We are already booked for next year!

Fabulous Family birthday getaway!

Ocean front Yurt

Beautiful and clean ocean side Yurt. Quiet area, outstanding views. Lucky enough to see a pod of Orcas passing by one night. Would highly recommend and we look forward to returning.

What an incredible spot

We were thoroughly satisfied with our stay at Seaview's Oceanfront Yurt. It had everything we needed and exceeded our expectations. The view was incredible too. I would highly recommend this property to others who are interested. We were there for a friend's wedding that was happening over at the Alder's Cabins and it was the perfect space to retreat to at the end of the celebrations that weekend.

Exceeded expectations!

The Yurt is lovely, and the location is wonderful. It is surrounded by mature trees, and the view out the front windows is spectacular. We never saw another soul during our 3 night stay. The heavy rain on Tuesday was loud inside the yurt, but it was a very pleasant sound. The kitchen is very well equipped. We will try to book again for this time next year.

Amazing Family Stay!

My wife and I, and two kids recently stayed for 6 nights. We had a wonderful time exploring the beach, taking our dogs for a run at nearby Williams Beach, and watching the cruise ships in the evening. The yurt has lots of room with twin beds in a loft and a king sized bed in a separate bedroom downstairs. Fully stocked kitchen with everything you need. We're looking forward to coming back next year!

anniversary weekend

what a wonderful place - beautiful and peaceful. we had a great weekend listening to the waves and the birds. everything was perfect. my only comment + if you are coming in the winger months, bring slippers, the floor can be a bit cold. we will be coming back next year!!

We are a group of 5 women & this was our 3rd time staying at the Yurt. The kitchen & rooms were stocked with everything (& more) needed for a comfortable stay. We absolutely love our time spent here. Beautiful farm property to walk & gorgeous beaches to explore. The view is spectacular, the sight & sound of eagles are everywhere, so peaceful, relaxing & soulful. Seaview serenity

The yurt is well equipped, comfortable, and cozy. The location on the property is incredible with a beautiful ocean view and access to the private beach. We were lucky to be staying when a new calf was born so fun to see the new herd member and fellow cattle, emu and fallow deer. Loved visiting the farm store and stocking up on venison and beef products too.Very well maintained property and is very private even if the RV sites would be occupied. Lots of room to play around the yurt area. The beach is rocky but low tide sees some sand bars. During a rain storm it’s quite loud in the yurt, but soothing as well - be aware of that feature.Would definite again!

Beautiful vacation spot!

Hands down one of the nicest places we have visited. A stunning oceanfront setting with such a comfortable vacation yurt. The yurt was cozy, spacious and had everything we needed to enjoy our getaway. From a fully stocked kitchen, gorgeous bathroom loaded with lovely towels, super comfy beds, and a spacious living/dining area with ocean facing windows. It was cooler during our stay and the propane firestove and heaters provided warmth inside. We were able to enjoy an awesome outside fire in the firepit which was also well stocked with ready firewood. Part of the adventure was how to access the yurt, which required a drive through a beautiful provincial park and, upon entering the game farm gate, passing by the animals. Delightful. Colin's communication and instructions on using the yurt were perfect. We'd definitely like to return to this special place.

Seaview Game Farm is a 168 acres parcel of land in Black Creek, BC, located on one mile of pristine waterfront. The farm can be accessed from either of two entrances; Seaview Road via Miracle Beach Drive or Williams Beach Road.

We have over 200 head of Fallow Deer, 25 Highland Cattle and a few goats. In the spring and summer months, we grow fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as flowers. Retail sales of venison, beef, fresh produce and specialty homemade products made with ingredients grown and raised on the farm are available both on-site and at the Comox Valley Farmers Market.

Seaview Game Farm is also a Vancouver Island vacation destination with site rentals and vacation accommodation including a Yurt and four serviced waterfront RV sites.

Seaview Game Farm is primarily a working farm. A Site is available for rental for group activities, weddings, birthday parties and other special events. Please note: events and parties are not permitted in the Yurt.
