This was our second year staying at this lovely cabin, and we loved it just as much as the first. Although I can only speak for the main bedroom, the bed was very comfortable and the blackout blind/curtains were much appreciated. The kitchen is relatively well stocked, although there were 4 of us and we were cooking some relatively elaborate meals, so we needed to bring some of our own cooking dishes, etc. Otherwise, everything we needed was provided and in good condition! The home is also very close to grocery stores and Courtenay, so it's easy to pick things up if need be. You can't beat the oceanfront views. We also love being able to bring the dog - it's a real bonus! Thank you so much again for the lovely stay. We hope to come again next year.

My 2 small dogs and I have stayed in 7 vacation rentals this past summer and this was by far our favorite. The house is wonderful and well-kept up! We like peace and quiet, so the end of a small private road is perfect. And a nice grassy area for the dogs. The unused old cabin next door allows for a lot of grass and my dogs are on total verbal control, so no fencing doesn’t matter. There are a few big rock steps down to the beach, which at 78 had me down on my rear or knees to do! Then a lovely long rock path along the beach in both directions. I could have my dog’s off-leash because of the verbal control. The bird sightings out of all the windows were so special as were the sunrise walks on the beach. There are other beaches in the area to explore, too. We especially liked Kye beach. A wide open sandy beach and no dogs were on leashes. It was fabulous. The Seal Bay Park is a 3 minute drive with hiking trails in the forest, and beach access. We sure hope we get to come back for another stay in the future! We have super memories and photos!

We had a great peaceful, relaxing vacation at the cottage. It’s so well appointed and comfortable with everything you could possibly need. The directions, check-in and communication with our host were excellent. The oceanfront view is amazing. We were lucky enough to see whales, seals and many lovely birds. We were very fortunate the weather was beautiful for exploring the Comox area.

Owner ruined it

when I arrive there to celebrate my birthday I noticed right away that the place wasn't clean and the hottub was freezing cold. I spent the first hour dusting and washing the furniture that had visible smudges and crumbs in it. When I contacted the host she said somebody would come over. Unfortunately this is what ruined the stay. The owner, Bobby, came over defensive from the beginning. He asked what's the problem,having an attitude of defensiveness from the start. I was at this point quite stressed and just wanted to get into the hot tub which was freezing cold. During our tense conversation in which I got quite upset about and he rudely said that I was "having a meltdown" and then stated "do you want me to clean every surface" and then "If you don't like it you can leave." I couldn't believe his lack of concern or problem-solving skills. I then insisted that he leave and initially he wouldn't my son actually had to come out of the bedroom and yelled at him to get out of the place which he finally did. Now this was a terrible start to my what was supposed to be my birthday week. I was able to get a hold of Rosalie, the host, and she at least was trying to resolve the issues, offering me the use of the hot tub next-door which was actually heated and no one staying there! Not only did Bobby pollute the start of this vacation but the constant smell outside was almost unbearable, a mix of rotting ocean debris and pig or cow farms and we had to go inside to get away!

Everything we could ask for

Amazing property with amazing amenities... this property fit our needs for our travel perfectly. Super clean... gorgeous views...zero complaints. Wpuld definitely stay there again if we were in the area

Comox Family Connection

The view was amazing! When the tide is out there are great patches of sand to enjoy with the kids. We had family from Comox come to visit who didn't even know this little gem exited.

Our Happy Place

This is our second Easter in a row staying here and we just love it. We always look forward to staying here - it's such a cozy, peaceful and beautiful place. Nothing beats that view! The hosts are very friendly and add special little touches to the cabin that make it all the more special. It's also nice we can bring our dig :)

Perfect place to recharge

Spent 4 nights here and this location is unbelievable. Right at the water! We watched all kinds of wildlife from the hot tub, spent tons of time on our paddleboards with easy water access Quiet and honestly just amazing.

Would definitely stay here again

My husband and I together with my elderly parents stayed at this delightful cottage for a week. The cottage is located in a friendly, quiet neighbourhood close to walking trails and the beach. Everything was clean and all the essentials were provided. We had an issue with the wifi on day 4 and the owners were quick to remedy the problem. We couldn’t have enjoyed more.

Cozy oceanfront cabin

Perfect little cabin for our family. It was a nice safe place for our kids to run around and explore. It would be great if there was a fence, trees or something to create a bit more privacy between the two cabins, We would love to book again!

There is a very peaceful vibe to this property. Our days were determined by the tides and the calls and songs of several different birds. We sat on the chairs and stared at the ocean. The cottage has all you may need. It was spotless and communication with Rosalie was super easy. Book it!

We have lived in the Comox Valley most of our lives and owned this property since the early 1960's. In 2012 the cottage was rebuilt from the foundation up so it is new, modern, comfortable and a great place to relax and unwind. We wanted to share it's beauty.
