The Tide Pool - One bedroom, ocean balcony, Kitchen, fireplace, Wifi

Bedrooms 1
Space 515 sq. ft.
Property type condo
Minimum Stay 1 - 2 nights

About the property

Queen bed in private bedroom, double sofa bed in front room, great ocean view!

The Tide Pool is chic, spacious, and very clean. (And at low tide, you can explore real tide pools in front of the condo!)

The front room is welcoming with its gas fireplace, ocean balcony, and double sleeper couch. The kitchen has all appliances and conveniences to serve a full meal or a snack. The ever-changing tides and surfs are a delight to enjoy from the kitchen or living room. The comfortable bedroom has a queen bed, dresser, nightstand and light and closet for hanging clothes.

No smoking in the condo or balcony. No pets. No seafood cooking in the condo, please.

It's very easy to step outside and walk around to the edge of the lawn and enjoy the ocean air and sights, downlooking from the bluff to view the tide pools and people on the beach below.

BRING BINOCULARS on your trip! From here, you can watch ships, whales, people, birds, and vehicles stuck in the sand...great fun!

Bring your own BBQ to enjoy at the beach, or bring some starter wood to light a campfire on the beach! (The driftwood is often wet and hard to start without dry wood from home!). We do have some stainless-steel, tabletop propane-powered BBQ's that you can rent for $10 (grill plus one Coleman propane canister). Mention at time of booking that you want one, and I will confirm whether one is available and reserve it for you

The Tide Pool is ideally located between the Pacific Ocean and Lincoln City. Drive down the ramp to spin a few doughnuts in the beach sand or beach comb for miles in either direction! Walk 1/4 mile to town to enjoy pizza, ice cream cones, Pier 101 seafood, Thai, Chinese or Mexican food and stroll through souvenir and thrift shops.

For your planning purposes: our rates are based on occupancy. Extra guests over the number of two cost only $5/person/night, and are quoted in your price when you mention total persons in your party. This makes our condo affordable for couples or families. If you arrive with additional guests who are undeclared, our extra person charge is $10/person/night.

Two night minimum stay required for Fri and Sat nights.

About Teresa Reich

We are a family of six who love the beach! Fifteen years ago, we bought a sailboat and took our kids sailing in the Caribbean for a year. The experience was priceless on many levels! We brought home a love of warm oceans and boats and all things nautical.

Teresa Reich purchased this condo in 2014

Why Teresa Reich chose Central Coast

We enjoy the ocean and beach immensely, and keep finding ourselves vacationing at Lincoln City! The interior decor is vintage, and we are intrigued with the possibilities for more fun decorating. And the view here is unsurpassed by anything we've seen at the coast.

What makes this condo unique

Since it is perched on the low sea cliff, we can enjoy winter storms and balmy summer breezes in the condo. Or campfires and long walks on the beach. An oceanfront condo with a fireplace is the best place to be in the world!

Beach access is via 50 gentle stairs (with one handrail) or a paved ramp to drive down! In fact, during April - Sept, many cars gather on the beach (right below the condo) when the tide is out! But twice a day, the tide rolls in, and clears everybody out!!! Bring some firewood and starter and enjoy a campfire on the beach. It's state-owned property and perfectly legal without any permit! 'Keep the fire small as a lawn chair and west of the vegetation line and extinquish with water, not sand.' (Oregon State Parks rules) Bring roasting sticks and hotdogs; you'll have a very fun and memorable meal :) The Casino operates a shuttle bus, which comes right past our condo. You may call the driver at 541 921-5100 to schedule pickup. The shuttle leaves the casino every hour, on the hour. and traverses Lincoln City down to the south end of town to Mo's Restaurant at 51st St, then returns on NW Harbor (our street). Operates on weekends only: Fri/Sat 4pm-2am, Sun 4 pm-midnight.

Nice condo for two, in a great location

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed the coziness of the Tide Pool condo. It was very easy to get to and centrally located in Lincoln City. The ocean view was one of the best we have had in a condo.

The furnishing were comfortable and adequate. The dining table really only seats two people comfortably, but that is all we needed. There is no dishwasher, but there was adequate counter space to use the dish drainer and just hand wash our dishes. The fireplace was nice and provided lots of heat - great for winter time at the beach.

This condo is an excellent value for the money. Our only regret was not spending more time on our trip.

Great view!

  • 4 of 5

This unit was very clean and comfortable. The view was to die for! The kitchen was well stocked to cook basic meals which was convenient. The bathroom was clean with a strong shower with plenty of hot water. The location was great for exploring the coast but was also close to shopping and a good variety of restaurants. We definitely plan on booking The Tide Pool again. Thanks for a great stay.

condo #3, wonderful!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time staying in #3 condo! The room was clean, the bed and hide-a-bed was comfortable! The view to the ocean waves is perfect from either the balcony or sitting inside, even on a cloudy rainy weekend!! We so enjoyed ourselves there.

We will for sure be back for another visit to the beach.

Affordable Option

  • 4 of 5

There was good and not completely great, but overall, it was a nice stay. The "condo" is actually a renovated motel so the rooms are pretty small. Not really any less room than you would get in a hotel, but it does have a separate bedroom rather than one larger room. Great for a little additional privacy, but does make for a tiny bedroom. Some of the furniture is in need of replacement again, and a larger TV would help. With that being said, as I mentioned before, it was a nice stay. We were there for 3 nights enjoying an anniversary trip planned at the last minute due to a rescheduled business trip. We were looking for an affordable but nice option, and it was definitely that. The view was fantastic and we enjoyed having the fireplace going while snuggling on the couch, looking out the sliding glass window, watching the waves come crashing in. The rain (it's been a particularly wet December) actually made us feel like we were in an isolated cabin.

I will definitely say the insulation is fantastic...even being on the bottom floor, we never heard a sound from the other guests staying there. The onsite manager/maintenance was fantastic and he took care of a minor problem immediately. The fully equipped kitchen was great when we decided to cook in one night rather than heading out in the pouring rain. Towels in the bathroom were plentiful and plush. The extra blanket in the closet came in handy, but some additional pillows would have been nice (ended up going out to buy a couple of pillows after the first night). A very nice personal touch was the card and balloon that greeted us when we arrived! I had mentioned when making the reservation that it was our anniversary.

I would definitely recommend Tide Pool for anyone else looking for an affordable place to stay with a great view. You won't get tons of extra amenities, but you will get a nice place that is comfortable, pretty well appointed with a caring staff for an affordable price.

Okay, needs some simple upgrades to be great.

  • 3 of 5

Great ocean view. Room and furniture need upgrades. Bedding material very bad. No fan in bathroom which made tile floor slick. Both me and wife almost fell in the bathroom.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your comments. Tile floors can be slippery...that's why we provide bath mats. The window provides a nice breeze to prevent moisture buildup. We have replaced the queen mattress in the bedroom.
