Have BOTH the Ocean and the Bay!! CASA DE BALBOA Newport Beach Vacation Rentals are FIVE STAR properties in the BEST LOCATION with the BEST VIEWS in Newport Beach! Located in a family friendly quiet area yet handy to all the restaurants and shops that start around the corner on both the main blvd and ocean. You can't get closer to a swimming body of water in Newport Beach. The water and sand are 30ft away at the NEW Marina Park Beach with state of the art children's play park, sailing center (rentals), and two light houses including the Light House Cafe. Turn to the right and you have the ocean too!! Where we are located the peninsula is divided by one road with a short block on each side and the ocean water is closet to the boardwalk...often times it's easier to put your toes in the ocean water from our location as opposed to many ocean front homes because the beach is so wide. Rent paddle boards and kayaks on the beach or around the corner and they will deliver in front. We have no alley in back. Use the dock in front to pick up passengers in your electric boat rental.

All Casas are beautifully updated, decorated, and maintained and are situated on nearly twice the width of a typical beach lot giving you significantly more outdoor space and interiors that are not bowling alley like. Each Casa has gorgeous views of the Newport Beach Bay, the boats, the islands, Marina Park (Mothers) Beach, Light Houses, Fashion Island, the beautiful Newport Coast, and the mountains in the background.

Why vacation with another family unless it's your own? The Casas are PRIVATE to one another. Entrances for each Casa are on opposite sides of the building. The large upper decks cover the first floor courtyards. You won't have fellow vacationers staring down at OR up at you OR from the side courtyards!!

This villa was home away from home, very clean, beds was very comfortable, kitchen was loaded with everything we needed. The view of the bay was beautiful, the beach was just 2 minutes walk. we loved everything about this place, we will be back that's for sure. Thank you Pam our family really enjoyed it

Now this is a Five Star Vacation Rental!

We rent in Newport Beach every winter and Casa De Balboa went beyond meeting our expectations. We really enjoy peace and quiet when we’re vacationing and that’s exactly what we got during our stay. The rental is beautifully decorated and cleanliness is obviously a priority.

We really enjoyed dining on the outside patio and taking in the view.

It was nice to find that there are no ally’s behind the building, like you typically find in Newport Beach. This gave it a safer feel. I loved walking my dog at night and leaving the windows open for that fresh beach breeze.

If you’re looking for a true luxury rental with a great location, this is the place for you.

Holiday Get-A-Away

"I can not “thank you” enough for the wonderful Christmas my sister and I shared at Casa de Balboa. The place was charming with all the added touches of the holidays. It brought back some fond memories for me when I moved out to California in 1985 and lived in that area. It was fun to see what changes have been made but also to see some familiar spots."

Hidden Gem! Must Stay!

Five Star Accommodations and Service

-We cannot say enough great things about Pam! (and her adorable dog Walter), very accommodating and nice

- Location and rental are meticulously kept and decorated

- Beautiful and Clear view of harbor from living room and large outdoor patio

- Two minute walk to boardwalk shops and eating and beach

- Downstairs unit and could not hear any noise from upstairs renters

- Luxury towels

- High speed wifi for individual unit

- Great water pressure

- Tommy Bahama & Ralph Lauren bedding

- Private garage

- Commercial sized washer and dryer

- Trustworthy & timely housekeeping

- Kitchen has any and every tool or dish you need (we hosted New Years Eve and it was perfect!)

Great Vacation Home!!

This is our 2nd stay at Casa de Balboa. Last time we stayed in the upstairs 3-bed unit. This time we stayed at the downstairs 2-bed unit. Pam has the finest accommodations in any Newport Beach condo we have ever rented. The towels and bedding are first class hotel quality. The kitchen is fully equipped with cooking tools to make any dinner you desire. The condo is just beautiful and close to everything. This location is just a block from the pier and there is a Farmer's Market every Sunday morning. We walked to the market, did our shopping and carried our produce just a block back to the condo. One garage space is provided. Parking is very limited to non-existent on the street. I do not recommend bringing a 2nd vehicle as you will have a lot of problems finding a "free" parking space on the curb as the area residents use the street parking for "long term parking/storage" of their extra vehicles. There are a few paid parking spaces, but we never tried to use these as we were able to fit our minivan in the garage (barely). The area has always seemed very safe, but we did have a little scare one night. We were sleeping with our slider open and a stranger "mistakenly" entered our bedroom at 4:30 in the morning while we slept. Our dog barked like crazy and woke us up and we screamed at the "visitor" and he quickly and quietly left. Therefore, we don't recommend sleeping with any windows or doors open. This might be an issue with no air conditioning in the warmer summer months. There are two sets of gates between the street and the back courtyard and the "visitor" walked through both sets of gates to gain access our open patio door. I spoke with Pam the next morning and It is believed it was an intoxicated local resident who may have mistook our condo for his, but nevertheless, it scared the bejezus out of us. There is a pole you can put in the sliding door track that keeps the door open a 4 inch crack and prevents the door opening any further. We would gladly return, but we would only stay in the upstairs unit because of our late-night scare.

Owner's Response: Hi Jim, Thank you for your review. Again, our apologies for this happening during your stay. The neighbor you mention has finally been evicted and is now gone (it wasn't our property). We are located in a very safe, quiet, family area and this was an isolated incident. Due to any lingering concerns we have installed a "Yardlock", a device that is combination only, on the 6 foot gate on the side to the rear of the property. It is hooded on the opposite side and can only be operated from the rear or combination from the front. This property is completely walled and fenced in. There is NO alley in back (would be easier access for anyone with intent of entering) making this Casa one of the safest ground level properties in Newport Beach. One would have to go through two gates with the second gate being the 6FT locked gate, a well lit courtyard, and scale the 6ft gate or wall to enter. Not that one would need it (and obviously was not seen by you), but there is a portable air conditioner as well as plenty of fans in each unit. There also was a bar for the sliding glass door that one can use. As far as parking which is an issue at any beach, you forgot to mention that you get a one car garage with each rental. Also due to the new Marina Park at the end of the beach, parking is particularly plentiful here...much of it metered though (some free spots can be had). What you were observing was this same neighbor "jockeying" his roommates and his car for the "free" spots and both are long gone. I will send you pictures of the "Yardlock". It's a pretty neat secure device and a pic will be posted on our web site as well. Looking forward to your return visit!

Great location - quiet and serene! Our family enjoyed the rental - roomy and well equipped. Very comfortable and lovely. Perfect location for walking or short drive to local attractions.
