Beautiful property. Great location. Easy beach access. Many places are walkable. We enjoyed our stay here with our son and his wife for a family wedding. Very comfortable.

Thanks so much. It's all about location, views, decor, and cleanliness. Glad we aced all for you. This is a much safer property than most offered because it has no alley in back. There is a grandfathered skinny street in front that services the properties garages and ends like a cup de sac into a dock for picking /dropping boat passengers. There are no less than 5 pics in our listing that show the street, the beach, and beach building (1 pic). All this and cross a street for the ocean, shops, and restaurants there. Glad you found us.

Great place, very clean, good location especially if you have little ones. Kitchen has everything you need. Brought our own beach chairs and towels and did not need them. Basically all you need is clothes, food, bikes (which you can rent around the corner) and sand toys for the kids. The only thing that was a problem was there were some sort of nats or mosquitoes around the patio area that gave us some itchy bites. I grew up in Newport and do not remember having a problem with that but maybe it was due to all the storms that have passed through.

Thank you for your comments. So glad you enjoyed your stay!! There should have been sand toys in the garage. Often we rent more than one unit so it may have migrated. As far as bugs, We have never had gnats or such before so maybe due to the storm. We hope you can return soon.

Let me start with the fact that the pictures of the outdoor front patio are not accurately showing what you get. First, if a car is parked in front of the house (which there always is because parking is limited) then the car blocks your view and you sit there staring at it the whole time and it is bad. Secondly, the pictures don't show that there is a large brick restroom building right across the street that also blocks your view up the beach. You get to sit on the patio and hear the toilet flush. What little part of the Harbor you can see is nice with boats going by. But you can't see much, just a car and a bathroom. If there was a high table set, maybe you could see over the car. But the bathroom is not going away.We have a Jeep Grand Cherokee and when I pulled it into the garage I could not get out of the drivers door. I had the back out and have my wife pull the car in and she barely got out of the door. They said a mini van could fit, I don't see how.The house itself was clean and I have no complaints. Kitchen is small, but we didn't use it much besides coffee and the refrigerator. The power went out, which I know is out of her control, but we had to geta hotel room for the night. The next day, it was still out, so good thing you can walk to Blackies bar for cold beers.We stay on SoCal alot, but I would not stay here again or recommend it.

Thank you for your feedback. We are glad you found the home clean and had no complaints regarding the accommodations themselves. We would like to clarify a few points for future guests. Our listing accurately describes Casa 227 as a street-level beachfront home, and our photographs show exactly how the property is situated. In particular, the photo taken from the beach clearly shows the street between the home and the sand, as well as the public street parking in front of the property. Cars may or may not be parked there at any given time. This guest stayed during an unusually hot period when the beach was exceptionally busy, resulting in considerably more cars and beachgoers than we typically see. The street parking is free public parking and is not something we can control. The small street in front also provides access to the garages and means our beachfront homes do not have an alley running behind them, something we consider an advantage, particularly for families. Guests can walk directly across the street to the sand and bay. Our garages, like many garages in older Newport Beach beachfront properties, are narrow. Standard and midsize vehicles such as a Honda CR-V fit well. Some somewhat larger vehicles may require folding in the mirrors, while oversized SUVs are not a good fit. A Jeep Grand Cherokee is a large vehicle for this garage. We were also very sorry that a neighborhood power outage occurred during this guest's stay. The outage was completely beyond our cont

Puppy stay at the bayou

Location is perfect Quiet little hideaway great for peak summer travel stays. Near beaches shops etc but not in the crowd. Dog friendly always a plus

Found this gem last minute and it was a dream come true close to everything enjoyed the kayaking which they deliver right in front of the condo since that’s where the beautiful bay is .... Hope to be back

Excellent location and wonderful accommodations

Beautiful view of the boat passing by right from the family room window. Beds were very comfortable, kitchen well stocked, short walk to the beach with waves and a small beach on the harbor side right in front of you. Really nice patio for dining. Love the patio heater as well. Can’t go wrong with this choice.

Clean comfortable place in a great location.

This was our 2nd time staying at this property with our dogs. Everything was perfect both times. The kitchen was well stocked, the bed was extremely comfortable. We had friends rent one of their other properties next door and it was perfect to be close (but not too close) to friends.

Thanks so much! Sorry about the heaters (table fireplace and commercial standing) BUT they were very likely out of propane which you are to supply (addressed in check-in info). That is something that we can not regulate. I wish you had contacted us about them we would have shared that info. The tanks are an easy swap out at Pavilions on the peninsula. Glad you enjoyed.

Beachside Heaven

It's been much too long since we stayed right next to a beach. This was the ideal location for beach, water & boat vistas. Unit was exactly as pictured, very clean with a lovely small garden at the back. The only downside was May was a bit overcast until noon or mid-afternoon. Easy walking to the Lighthouse Cafe, American Legion and other local restaurants. Definitely a return visit is on the horizon.

Beautiful views! Beautiful home!

The location of this beautiful home is ideal. Walked out the door to the bay where paddle boards were delivered by the rental shop one block away. Each morning we would walk less than 5 minutes to the beach and take advantage of the coffee shops and restaurants. The home is very clean, updated and has everything you need to enjoy a lovely vacation. Pam was very accommodating! We will be back for sure!
