The house is located on the outskirts of the village, giving it a spectacular location and offering a beautiful view across the Riedensee Nature Reserve to the Baltic Sea.
It’s a 12- to 15-minute walk to the wonderful natural beach in Kägsdorf.
During peak season, the small village features a small beer garden that also offers breakfast rolls, newspapers, and all sorts of other items.
In Bastorf, there’s a farm stand with a café; the Bastorf lighthouse (with a café) is practically around the corner, and Kühlungsborn-West is about 4 km away—if you like, you can walk almost entirely along the beach.
Otherwise, there are wonderful hiking trails leading all the way to Rerik or into the hinterland, the so-called “Kühlung.”
The house underwent extensive renovations in 2024. It is an allergy-friendly, non-smoking home and is therefore available only to guests without pets.
