About the host
Hosted by Jan Durrington
I moved up to Alaska in 1991 with $80, a credit card and a round trip ticket. I found a job on the second day and have never left. I love to ride my PWC out in the ocean, and fish, shrimp and explore the beautiful surroundings of Alaska.
In 2014, I decided to open up my house to the many visitors from the lower 48 to give them the opportunity to see Alaska as I have.
Why they chose this property
It is in the perfect location for visitors. It is easy access downtown, and both highways to get out of town to explore the wilderness side of Alaska.
What makes this property unique
The guest room is detached from the house in the backyard. So if someone has a baby that doesn't sleep at night, or a night owl in the family, they can sleep in that room. This way they won't wake everyone up and won't worry about watching tv at all hours of the night. Plus they can sleep in if needed too.
