Fully furnished and newly renovated! All new appliances, including a 48' HDTV and wireless hi-speed internet. In additional to a bedroom with a king-size bed, there is queen-size pull-out sofa in the living room. We also have a very comfortable roll full away bed. Laundry washer/dryer is in a separate room opposite the patio. Includes beach and picnic gear and the kitchen has everything you need to make great meals. The back patio has an outside table with chairs and a BBQ. All the comforts of home in a great location ensures that you will enjoy your stay! We have the Hyatt hotel and Fess Parker Resort down the street with full bar and restaurant and spa facilities including massage and facials.The bird refuge is minutes away. The wharf has a sea center, fine dining and great strolling and views of the ocean. Sunday local art beach exhibit stretches along the boardwalk. The funk zone is a 10 minute walk and features Figueroa Mountain Brewery and wine bars. You will find some incredible food, art and service in this district. Here at Mariposa, One bedroom Flat, you will find the perfect zone to catch an airbus to LAX or check out the zoo, or just enjoy one of the best beaches in the city. The beach is literally 3 minutes walking distance. You will be happy no matter what at the end of the day to come home to your beautiful and comfortable casa on Orilla del Mar!!! Tri-County Produce is on the corner, and has fresh organic and standard produce, fresh squeezed orange and carrot juice, dairy, meat, fresh fish, vegan products, beverages, spices, home goods, flowers, chips,sauces, pasta, bread, desserts and a frozen section.
Evening sunsets in our area are magical. Such a prime spot, You will never want to leave! All the happenings in town are within walking distance. We use all organic cleaning products and do our best to give you the best possible customer service!

I stayed at Mariposa with my 3 kids and a friend while we did some school visits and house hunting for our upcoming move to SB. The central location was a perfect jumping off spot for exploring the beaches, harbor, shopping and dining and it allowed my teens to come and go as they wished. We were very happy with our quick and helpful communication with housenowner Jami. The apartment was clean and spacious enough for us to hang out and stretch out. Wverything we could have needed was stocked at the house and the nearby grocery and Trader Joe's allowed us to cook at 'home' too. I plan to recommend Mariposa for visiting friends and relatives once we move to Santa Barbara.
Jami was a gracious host and quick to respond to my questions. The unit had everything we needed. We will definitely return!
Our home away from home was very comfortable and nice! We needed a place to stay for a few days while our condo in Goleta was being tented for termites. It was great to have a modern, updated kitchen and bathroom but with the feel of historic Santa Barbara.
What a fantastic home. Jami was so adorable and accommodating with all of our needs. My baby was sick and she was able to open the house up one day early for us so, we could get into a routine and get him better quickly. The accommodations were fantastic. I really felt like I was at my own house. Tri Country Produce is literally a block away and has everything you could possible need for all of your grocery needs. The beach and park are practically across the street. I will definitely stay here again when we are back in Santa Barbara. Thank you so much for making our stay absolutely wonderful! Jami was super easy to work with. Accommodations were very clean and provided everything we needed. Most comfortable king size bed I've ever slept in and super comfy pillows too. Very impressed with high-end kitchen utensils, appliances, pots & pans. It was a hot weekend, but the house stayed cool. Walk to beach, grocery store, restaurants. Street parking is limited, but we were there for the weekend and always found a spot. Would definitely stay here again.
We had a wonderful stay at Mariposa while we were in Santa Barbara for a wedding. Despite an ungodly late arrival (~2am due to a crash on the 101), we felt welcome from the moment we arrived thanks to a handpainted "welcome" sign greeting us on the door. The flat was nicely appointed and Jami was super responsive and accommodating.
It couldn't have been a better location. The quiet street provided for fairly easy street parking right in front of the flat. Better yet, it just a block or two to a lovely little grocery with some amazing freshly squeezed juice offerings. And, of course, the beach. The beach was maybe 4 blocks away and a super easy walk for our 3-year old.
The Fess Parker Doubletree (where the wedding we went to wedding was) is also just a few blocks away so we didn't have to worry about driving to and from the wedding. When we come back to Santa Barbara, we'll definitely look to stay here again!
(Insider tip- there are naturally occurring tar seeps that leave tar deposits on the beaches in Santa Barbara. Don't be alarmed if you walk off the beach with big black blotches on the bottom of your feet! A little baby oil goes a long way in getting it off so if you're planning on spending time on the beach, you might think about bringing some.)

You have the option of paying a $250 refundable damage deposit instead of the $49 Property Damage Protection. Please let us know which you prefer. Your damage deposit is returned after check out. We just opened our business this last summer, and had great success! We appreciate our now VIP customers!!
