About Kindra Harlow
I am a native Montanan. I grew up, went to school and graduated from Montana State University in beautiful Bozeman, Montana. I have been lucky to enjoy the beauty of this place and participate in the many outdoor activities Montana has to offer. I raise registered Katahdin sheep on the ranch, and of course have a few border collies and a horse on the payroll to help me. My folks have lived on this ranch for over 25 years, and together we have the rental cabin, and also run a mini storage business.
Why Kindra Harlow chose Livingston
The Pinto Ranch Cabin is located in the middle of the Paradise valley which gives you close access to the outdoors, but is still close to Livingston, Gardiner, and Yellowstone Park. Access to the cabin is just 1/4 mile off of Hwy 89 S. 360 degree view of the mountains.

Winter paradise in Paradise Valley
This log cabin in Paradise Valley was an ideal place for my wife and I with 3 adult children to stay over a New Year's holiday vacation. We hit Paradise Valley during a very cold and somewhat snowy week, but that was not surprising. The cabin was very warm and cozy and is genuine log construction. We were looking for something a little more on the rustic end than luxury and were very pleased to find it with all of the comforts and features one would expect. The appliances are a little dated, but no problem. There is a woodburning stove but it does not work great. All of the rooms were warm regardless with the baseboard heat. The best things are the views, the location, the ranch setting, and more views ... actually in one direction is only a view of a neighboring business but it is easy to look away. We were visiting a daughter in Bozeman which is about a 40 - 45 minute drive away. Livingston is closer, about 15 - 20 minutes and probably more of a Western town, while Bozeman is more hip. We also ventured to Yellowstone through Gardiner and since that is only 45 minutes it makes an easy day trip. We especially enjoyed snowshoeing right on the ranch and their is plenty of open space which Kindra, our host, was very gracious about letting us know that we could wander. Also appreciated the nice big dining table and long bench for the family to sit around. Skiing is possible at Big Sky and Bridger Bowl, but you would need to plan a little travel time. We chose to stick close and just enjoy the treasure right out the door.
Loved the stay!
Photos are exactly what you get. Wonderful place to spend our Christmas family visit, hope to stay in the summer next time so we can see the host, puppies and sheep.
Cabin was clean and you can’t beat the views.
Enjoyed our vacation. Weather and scenery were beautiful. Easy drive for our daily trips into Yellowstone. So nice coming home to The Ranch. We would definitely stay here again.

Could hardly be better.
I liked everything about Kindra
‘s wonderful cabin including the most welcoming and thoughtful Kindra. Great to spend time on the porch on three different sides to watch the play of light on the surrounding mountain ranges. The house itself was most comfortable. All in all a truly special place to visit.
Paradise Valley sits between two mountain ranges that offer hiking, rock climbing, horseback riding trails, blue ribbon fishing on the Yellowstone river, cross country/back country skiing, and more. Sight seeing in Yellowstone National Park is only 40 minutes away. Skiing and snowboarding is available at Bridger Bowl and Big Sky ski resorts.
