About Joelle Barber
The Barber Family- my husband and I grew up on the west side of the state and love the beautiful Lake Michigan beaches and atmosphere of all the resort towns along the way. I went to Hope College and love having a place so close to a town I love. I remember trips in to Saugatuck to eat lunch, walk on the boardwalk, visit the cute little shops. Hope you love Saugatuck as much as we do.
Joelle Barber purchased this Cabin in 2005
What makes this Cabin unique
Our little corner of Hidden Dunes offers a little more privacy than some of the other lots. We love sitting out under the stars at night enjoying a campfire. After a day exploring the Saugatuck State Park sandy trails or soaking up the sun and view at Oval Beach in Douglas, a soak in the hot tub on the back screened in porch is so relaxing. There is also a fireplace in the family for a cozy fire during the colder months. Fall is a great time to really enjoy the color around our lake and the State Park area.

Wonderful three days in Saugatuck
This was our family's second annual trip back to this cabin, and we hope to return again next year! Tranquility is very clean and comfortable, with a fully-stocked kitchen, washer/dryer, cable TV and internet access, and an easy walk to a small beach and lake. It's extremely well-maintained. We especially enjoyed using the (provided) paddleboat on the lake, building a campfire in the fire pit, taking a hike at the nearby dunes state park, walking through downtown Saugatuck, picking peaches in Fennville, visiting the Dutch Village in Holland, and riding on a dune buggy (practically in the cabin's back yard, but only intermittent noise between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.). Could easily spend a week here, using this cabin as a home base for more activities in Saugatuck and nearby towns.
Lovely log cabin by goshorn lake
We had an excellent stay. Cabin was well stocked, beds comfortable, hot tub worked well. Loved the screened porch for relaxing. Beautifully scenic. Was my husband and I, our 3 kids, and my parents. Would definitely return.
Very nice home, the caretaker Joelle goes above and beyond to make sure our stay was a good one.
We will go back, love the area and the attention to detail by Joelle the manager.
Beautiful cabin and fun area
We so enjoyed staying here! The place was very clean and had a lot of fun things to do just at the cabin. I loved having a hot tub, Wi-Fi, and a full kitchen to cook in. There are two coffee pots, and everything you could need to make a meal.
The little lake nearby is perfect for little ones, and you could go fishing, swim, or just hang out in a little beach.
If you walk along the main road it takes you about a mile and a half to get into town. There’s a bikepath you can take, and that was a nice way to get some exercise, and not have to worry about parking. If you go into town for breakfast, for sure go to Grow! It is delicious.
For my mom‘s 60th birthday party three couples, two babies, this was a very wonderful place to stay. In the town has so much to offer! Great restaurants, great shopping, amazing beaches, and lots of art.
The cabin is a little loud because there’s not a ton of insulation, so be sure you say nice things about your family, ha ha.
The owner is very easy to work with and was very accommodating. Thanks again! Hope to be back someday!
This cabin worked out so well for us. The screen porch is great. It's so good to be able to enjoy sitting outdoors without worrying about bug bites. The hot tub was a treat too!
We had a wonderful time making charished family memories. The cabin was beautiful and had everything we needed. Definitely a 5 star rating from our entire group. The owner is wonderful and responds very quickly to any questions.
