We loved that the property had direct access to the beach. The view from the balcony was beautiful. Our family of five enjoyed the stay. It was difficult with three children and one bathroom but we managed.

We love staying here. Internet wasn’t working when we checked in but they had someone come out and fix it with no problems. Great communication. Convenient first floor and right on the beach is great. Close to restaurants and shops. Great place to stay with two small kids (4 year old and 11 week old). Would definitely stay here again.

Very nice condo with incredible view of the water. 4-story building so not too crowded, private beach access, comfortable bed, very easy parking, apartment equipped with all the necessities, very responsive management, great place to relax. Floor needs a little more attention, hard to keep everything clean at the beach. WiFi problem was speedily addressed. Will happily stay here again.

Room was fairly clean upon entering aside from the floors being sandy. Which is to be expected at the beach. The top bunk of the bunk bed had no rail and there wasn’t much room between the ceiling and bed. This rendered it useless for us. Other than those things, the room was located directly on the beach and had a great view of the ocean. Beach service was also great since we flew in. We also utilized the pool a few times and it was in good shape and kept clean. Overall a good room for the price in the area.

This was the perfect spot we needed for a quick relaxation trip to 30A. It has been many years since we have been to 30A and I’ve always loved the beaches here. This spot delivered exactly what we were looking for. A beautiful ocean view from the porch and two chairs to take in the sun and salt air.

Great property & Enjoyable stay. The Commodore Retreat was as described. The host provided adequate supplies to get us through until we could reach a store. And also kept us informed of everything we needed to know for the property, like trash day, beach access, parking passes, etc. The beach was amazing and beautiful, as were the views from our unit. We loved having the beach chairs to use every day. The pool was nice and clean; however, it was too cold for us to get into during our stay. The "lagoon" on the beach was the highlight of our trip! It was shallow, warmer, and the perfect place for young kids to play. We love FL and 10/10 recommend staying in this area/at this property.

Very welcoming. Elevator wasn’t working and shower had little water pressure making it difficult to wash your hair. Other than that, it was awesome.

My husband and I came for a long weekend and it was the perfect place. This is a less crowded time of the year so beach and restaurants were less crowded. Wonderful view from our balcony and easy walk to the beach. We have stayed at Coomodore’s Retreat several times through the years, in the larger units and it almost felt like coming home!I think one of the only negative is the parking situation and with larger vehicles these days, it just is what it is. There really is no way to change it up.

Best place on the beach. Everything close that we needed. A lot of construction in the area, but did not effect our stay. Just drive slowly past the workers! Only thing was no parking for persons visiting us, otherwise no complaints

Small older property directly on beautiful private beach. Condo was very clean, good quiet location right off 30A. I was glad to be on 1st floor since elevator was not working. Hopefully it will be repaired by my next visit as I definitely plan to return.

Nice beach front place

Great beach front property. Top bunk bed was very short. Mold issue in the bathroom should be addressed. Felt like not giving us trash bags was a bit cheap as most place provide those and would have like heads up. It was odd they also asked us directly via email if we want to view property for sale. Otherwise grwat place with amazing balcony. Parking was tight but good. Beach chairs and umbrella was nice.

Quick getaway

We have stayed at this condominium complex multiple times in different units. The rental offers a great view, beach access and complimentary beach chair setup which I always want when I vacation on 30A. Check in/out is easy as the door codes are provided prior to arrival. As with any beach location, parking is a challenge with a large vehicle. This is the first time we have been here during a peak period (spring break) where there was no parking available in the lot. This would not preclude me from returning, however it is just something to note if you have a large truck or SUV.

Low key beach trip

Check and in and arrival was great. The condo was as described. Location is excellent! The area feels very safe and has a classic family beach town vibe. We realized on our second night that the washing machine was not working. We contacted the manager and it needed a new part. It was repaired 3 days later, the day before we were checking out. This was an inconvenience but the property manager made it right by giving us a partial refund! The condo and pool are a little dated but if you are looking for a reasonably priced small condo on the water in a beautiful location away from the crowds of Destin, this is the place for you! I would stay here again!

Couple trip

The condo was very clean. Great location. Walk to beach is fabulous. Plenty of towels. You could use more blankets for this time of year. The furniture is pathetic. It is worn, uncomfortable and very creaky with any movement. Balcony table is in horrible shape as well. Price is great but I would never rent this unit again, Because of furniture. This is my 3rd time renting in this building and I will again just not #102. Please replace your sofa & chairs.

Great location, unit needs updating

We absolutely love staying at Commodores Retreat, but we have had a mixed experience with units. The first unit we stayed in on the 3rd floor was in great shape, but this trip we stayed on the 1st floor and the unit needed renovating. The location here is amazing, and price is great, too! We love waking up to the beach just outside of our door and it makes it easy not having to lug everything to the beach. We can simply go back to the condo for food or drinks. Unfortunately, this unit was in need of cleaning and repair. Mainly, the bathroom was very moldy/mildewy and the walls were in need of washing. Otherwise, the stay was pleasant and we appreciated the communication by the rental company.

Seagrove beach

I would not stay at this particular unit again as I felt it was not as up to date as others I’ve stayed in..and the items supplied were the bare minimum….i usually will buy items and then leave what I have leftover such as coffee, paper products, cleaning items, salt and pepper but not here because they supplied nothing! Had to have housekeeping come and program remotes because that was not ready, no extra blankets for pullout sofa…vacuum didn’t work, no water pressure, warm water not hot!!! I won’t go on…beautiful location and proximity to beach was perfect just not happy with the unit itself!

Believe it or not, per Florida lodging laws, we are not able to leave any type of cleaners or food products in a rental property due to risk of contamination. The owner is actually in town right now painting and doing a few updates to the condo.

This was our second time staying in this condo, and it's become one of our favorite beach vacation spots! We traveled with our extended family, and it was the perfect place for all of us to relax, spend time together, and make wonderful memories.The condo is super clean, spacious, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed. Last year it was gorgeous, but this year’s renovations blew us away. We loved spending time on the balcony with coffee in the morning and winding down in the evenings while taking in the beautiful ocean views.The location couldn't be better, with easy beach access. The owners were friendly, responsive, and made the entire process easy from start to finish. We highly recommend it to families. We can't wait to come back again!
