About Judy & Brian Radke

We purchased our first lakehouse on Beaver Dam Lake about 10 years ago while we lived in IL. We now reside in the Madison WI area and purchased this second lakehouse (next door to our own) in '13. We've been busy remodeling and updating it and have been renting it since July '14.

Judy & Brian Radke purchased this house in 2013

Why Judy & Brian Radke chose East Central

This property is the second one from the end of a dead end road. It's quiet and private. Derge Park/Campground is 1/4 mile down the road.

What makes this house unique

Quiet, private and beautiful views. Good fishing right off the dock.

Awesome property on the lake.

  • 5 of 5

Owners were easy to work with as our travel plans were pretty messed up getting there. Everything you want and more in a vacation spot on the water. Great yard for our granddaughters to enjoy. The canoes and kayaks were a hit with my son(loved the dock to fish everyday)(Caught two dinners worth of Perch during our stay, as well as some monster catfish and a big dogfish and some small walleye) and 2 nieces who came to visit. Close enough to town, in case you have to run in, but far enough to forget about work and enjoy the week! Owners recommended a supper club in their book...The Buckhorn I believe. Awesome food(Walleye, perch, haddock..and Old Fashion's, none of which we can get in FL) and worth the drive. Thank you for sharing your beautiful cottage, and all the games inside that kept us busy in the evenings when the mosquitoes were biting.

Owner's Response: We're glad you all enjoyed your stay! It's good to see a nice variety of fish being caught! (some years we see primarily catfish . . . not '17!)

Nice property and enjoyable stay!

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay. The lakehouse was nicely decorated and had plenty of room for our group of 6 adults and an infant. Everything we needed was available; the kitchen was well stocked. The owners were very nice and accommodating. The lake was so pretty and much larger than I thought it would be. Fishing was spotty. Four of us fished and I was the only one who caught anything. Over the 3 days I fished, I caught about 10 fish; catfish and sunfish, not anything of size, but it was fun. I just fished off of the dock. Lots of things to do at the house and it's not too far to drive to Beaver Dam for the grocery store and other stores. I would recommend this place as a great get away spot.

Vacation Home was Great

  • 4 of 5

We were impressed with the cottage and amenities. The owners met us to give us the keys and showed us how everything worked. The vacation home was stocked with everything owner could possibly think of, sheets, towels, cleaning supplies, even laundry soap. Everything worked! The family caught fish, the weather was great! (we want to know how they managed that!) Evenings watching fireflies was a plus. We were told the lake was not great for swimming so we brought a small pool for granddaughter. Owners generously supplied a hose to fill it ( we were planning on a bucket for lake water). Our family enjoyed our stay.

Great time!

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 5 really enjoyed our stsy. We fished everyday. Caught several cat fish and bullhead from the dock. We even caught a few small perch and sunfish. We even liked the nearby lake of Fox Lake where we caught a nice walleye and pike. Our stay was wonderful, everything we needed was available. Took me 3 days though to find the wine bottle opener as it was hidden on the shelf which us short people cannot see very well. Went to Annabelles fir ice cream, awesome flavors you cannot find in Michigan. Wisconsin Dells about an hour away where we spent a full day. Great time zip lining and enjoying the town. Will definitely stay again!
