This was our first trip to Leadville to ski at Ski Cooper and we loved it! We weren't quite prepared for the altitude with our little ones, but live and learn! This house was very nice and we loved, loved, loved that we could bring our pup along! It was also awesome not having to go through a long cleaning checklist when we were ready to leave.
Thanks for sharing your house!
Thank you for your kind review. We are glad you chose Withering Heights for your Leadville visit. Please come again.
Cheers, Stephen & Ginger
Great trip love the home!
Family had a great time, really enjoyed renting the extra space down stairs. Really easy for two families to stay comfortably. We also appreciated the separate room in the upstairs loft area great addition!!
Thanks Charles, glad you enjoyed your stay. It was especially good to hear your comments about the new loft bedroom.

Great Family Vacation
My kids and I had a fantastic stay. The house was better than advertised. We had a small hiccup during our stay and the owners went out of their way to make sure the issue was resolved. I picked this place because it had both a garage and a washer and dryer, which helped a ton keeping our car warm and being able to wash our ski gear each night. 15 minutes from Ski Cooper. 30 minutes from Copper. And less than an hour from Vail. Great location without the big resort prices. And Leadville was great too. We enjoyed the Tennessee Pass Cafe twice. High Mountain Pies was delicious. And you can't beat the $9.95 filet dinner at Quincys. Cookies with Altitude was the kids favorite for donuts and treats. Couldn't have asked for a better vacation. The views from the house were amazing. Thanks a million Stephen and Ginger...it really was everything we could have asked for and more.
Sounds like you really enjoyed Leadville. The Tennessee Pass Café and Cookies With Altitude are two of our favs too.
Thank you for your kind review. We hope to see you again at Withering Heights.

Ski Cooper from Oklahoma
We had a great time in Leadville. The home was nice and easy to find. The two car garage was great. We didn't need to leave our car outside which made it much easier to load/unload for our day trips to Ski Cooper.
The house was well organized and had everything you could need to have a great time with no worries including WiFi, board games and TV. I can't think of anything that they didn't have for us to use. We stay at several VRBO homes and usually you can expect to bring some of the basics like paper towels, salt pepper, coffee filter, etc... but these were all there when we arrived. There is a Family Dollar store a few blocks away if you need something though. THe kitchen has a nice gas stove/oven, full size refrigerator, toaster oven, coffee maker, electric kettle, dishwasher and all the utensils. There is a full size washer/dryer but we didn't get a chance to use it.
The bedroom on the first floor seems big enough and has the one shower. There is a bathroom upstairs in the loft but it doesn't have a shower. We managed easy enough by cleaning up in the bathrooms in the morning and taking evening showers. We didn't rent the downstairs rooms so it may have another shower/bath.
Downtown is very nice and just like the pictures but we only had dinner out one night at the Tree Line Kitchen. The food was great and wonderful atmosphere.
We skied at Ski Cooper and had a great time. The people there were nicer than any ski resort I have ever been. They don't presume anything and are all happy to be there.
The owners seem nice. We didn't talk except via email but they were prompt with replies and made us feel that they would be there for us if we needed something.
We will definitely be back. It is too nice an area that isn't crowded or over done.
Thank you for your very kind review. We really appreciate your input.
Very nice house
Very nice house, there is nothing missing. the house was not cold when we arrived.
