Why Michael Reamy chose The Pines

We have been wanting a home in Rehoboth for many years and its very difficult to get in. Properties can stay in families for generations and the real estate market is competitive. The location and charm of this classic Rehoboth Cottage was an opportunity we could not pass up.

What makes this house unique

An amazing screened porch is attached to the home with 4 exposures to enjoy the breeze and tranquil view.

Amazing Stay!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for four weeks this past summer, and it truly was an awesome experience. The house itself is perfect, with plenty of room, a private master bedroom on the first floor, wonderful décor, and a great screened in porch. Everything was incredibly clean and felt like a 5-star hotel when we arrived. The location also can't be beat; you are on a quiet and peaceful street in the Pines but are only a short walk away from all that Rehoboth Ave has to offer as well as the restaurants on Baltimore Ave. The beach also is within walking distance (our choice is always Deauville), or you can drive there in 2 minutes and park right at the beach entrance with the parking passes that are provided. Finally, the owners, Michael and Andres, were amazing -- totally responsive to anything we needed and very clearly invested in wanting to make sure we had a great vacation. The experience really was amazing, and we are coming back in 2018!

Comfortable Cottage in the Pines

  • 5 of 5

This is our second stay in this quiet and relaxing cottage. We were five adults and one child, and we had plenty of room. Once again, we spent most of our time on the screened porch. It is perfect for early morning coffee, afternoon naps, family meals, and late night card games and cocktails. It is an easy walk to the beach and the downtown with its shopping and excellent selection of restaurants.

4 years of enjoying 7 Cookman!

  • 5 of 5

The last 4 consecutive summers my family has thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 7 Cookman. Michael offers unlimited hospitality and support. The little things they provide really make a difference. For example, the welcome note and gifts, the industrial ice machine that works tirelessly, the cozy furnishings that welcome you "home", and the well-appointed kitchen. The heart of the home is the screen in porch where we tend to gather for all of our meals, card games, fierce backgammon competition and of course reading. One thing should be mentioned is the location is excellent. We can walk to the beach (driving is an option also if you have tons of gear, parking is usually very ample at Oak). A short walk to great restaurants and shopping, and of course the boardwalk. Thank you Micahel for sharing your home!

Lovely home perfect for relaxing and cooking

  • 5 of 5

We shared the house with our two 20-something children and their significant others and had a fabulous time. The house is very well appointed and perfect for a beach house--just the right amount of furniture and decor to make you feel at home, but without the clutter. All of us found it incredibly relaxing and peaceful. It is surrounded by pine trees, away from the noise, and the house set-up has enough space to hide out and read or to socialize. The pantry was quite nice to discover with a bar area and all types of serving dishes. Each couple had a night to cook and everyone enjoyed being in the kitchen, which was very well equipped and organized. We had meals on the large round table in the dining area right off the kitchen as well as on the very pretty porch--also right off the kitchen. Michael was extremely responsive when we had a question and there were absolutely no issues. The walk to the beach (very North Rehoboth) was a bit longer than expected, but we enjoyed it given the nice neighborhood and the short-cut option through the small pine forest. The beach there is less crowded than other sections, which was also welcome. There are also quite a few new restaurants near the house on the main street and Starbucks is just a few blocks away. All of us left the house feeling like we really had a vacation--relaxed, peaceful, and with the time and the space, to catch up with each other. Would love to return!!!

Close to everything but just far enough away

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for a week in August and at the end were insanely jealous of the folks who were checking in later that day. The house has just the right combination of aesthetics and warmth. We hosted several friends who came and went during the week and we all favored the porch as the place to enjoy coffee and cocktails. The hosts left us fully prepared for a week of Rehoboth fun and were available when we needed it (which wasn't much). We didn't touch our cars once we settled in and walked to and from the beach, the boardwalk, restaurants and bars and the Jolly Trolley bus stop, when needed. We plan to return and my only hesitation in writing a glowing review is that it will drive up demand for this great house on a quiet street, close to everything that is so great about Rehoboth, but far enough away to truly relax.

Car: not necessary

Located in the very desirable section of Rehoboth Beach known as The Pines. The home is easy walking distance to shoppes and restaurants including; Cultured Pearl, Starbucks, Stingray, Blue Moon, Eden, Rehoboth Avenue, Wilmington Avenue, Boardwalk and the Beach. Deauville Beach at the end of Oak is a 3.5 block or 10 minute walk or a fraction of that on a bike. Just about everything you want to see and do in downtown Rehoboth Beach can be done on foot or bike, park the car and leave the keys at the house! The home is located on Cookman, a quiet, one-way street known mostly only to the locals. The home has off street parking for 3 cars and the block typically has available street parking with a temporary permit. Other attractions such as Rehoboth's famous outlets are just minutes away by car (and can actually be accessed by bicycle on the Junction Breakwater bike trail to avoid the traffic found on Route 1). Another bonus is the newly opened Gordon's Pond bike trail which now creates a 15 mile flat loop between Rehoboth and Lewes, a treat for both nature lovers who are not necessarily strong bikers and avid bikers alike.
