About this property

This house Les Magnanarelles in Lourmarin can accommodate 8 adults and one young child. Recent, comfortable, bright and spacious is located in a private closed residence with digicod, quiet, wooded, with other houses in Lourmarin, 16 minutes walk from the village of Lourmarin. Views towards the Mts of Luberon and the Alpilles. Private not fenced swimming pool 10mX5m, with an alarm for safety, heated in June, July, August. Perfect night sky for stargazing.
The house has on the 1st floor:
- 1 large double room (bed 180x200) open to the south, the terrace and the swimming pool with private bathroom/WC, 1 baby crib (60cmX120cm).
- 1 mezzanine bedroom with 2 single beds or 1 large bed (180x200) and private shower room/WC,
1 bookstore room with books in French and English,
many games, Wii u and console. Games room with table football, ping pong, lots of toys...
On the ground floor:
- 1 double bedroom (160x200),
- 1 double bedroom (140x200).
- 1 bathroom with WC shared by these two double bedrooms.
- 1 half bath. the house has 4 WC.
This house is in the heart of a beautiful Mediterranean vegetation, on a small hill about 900 m from the village of Lourmarin, in the Luberon. A tuned Piano, internet fibre optic, Wifi, international TV, DVD player, CD. Fans throughout the house. Mosquito nets in every room. The furniture is classic and modern, the marble flooring and excellent insulation keep the whole house cool in summer.
Outside is a large shaded terrace with a dining room, a relaxing lounge, three parasols and a Weber BBQ. The swimming pool is surrounded by pool beds and sunshades. In the house you will find DVDs and CDs, games for everyone (Scrable, Mastermind, playing cards, balls, toys). The view from the terrace overlooks the Alpilles and the village of La Roque d'Anthéron where is a piano festival every July and August. A large modern U Supermarket is 1km away, the Mediterranean Sea is 60kms away. Numerous concerts at the castle of Lourmarin, many activities offered in the region: guided tours, Ruisseau Aigue Brun nearby, renting electric bikes in Lourmarin, many tourist sites, perched villages, museums, tennis, hiking, climbing, fishing, canoeing, Wake board...

Spring in Lourmarin

Lovely property, plenty of space. Well stocked kitchen. It's a steep hill down to town, not great for carrying groceries back from the market.

Beautiful property

Very comfortable house for our family of 7 adults and one toddler for our one week stay. Especially enjoyed the pool on these very hot days. We would definitely stay again!

Amazing villa in the heart of Provence!

Our multi-generational family stayed at the villa and we absolutely loved it. The house is beautiful and the outdoor area with pool is gorgeous! The kitchen was modern and well equipped and the beds were comfortable. Jacqueline was very helpful with coordinating our stay and provided great information to ensure we could take good care of the villa. Thank you Jacqueline!!

Lovely stay

We loved our time here! The house was a perfect location for day trips to other villages and superbly clean with a stunning view. A great respite at the end of the day. While walking distance to Lourmarin, there were not sidewalks and the walk home is a steep uphill climb.

Relaxing Villa in Beautiful Location

This villa is absolutely beautiful and so relaxing! Jacqueline began communicating with us before we arrived so we knew just where to go and what to do. She was extremely friendly and helpful. We felt right at home and enjoyed our time here so much. The community is quiet and peaceful. The village is charming. Lots of great shops and restaurants. Plenty of parking too! Very easy to take day trips anywhere in Provence from here. Everywhere you go will be more beautiful than you could imagine, and having a comfortable place to unwind at the end of each day's adventures is just priceless. I would highly recommend this home and this host.

Absolutely Wonderful Stay in Lourmarin

This property exceeded our every expectation. The whole experience was rated the best of our 10 days in France from the whole family. We all loved the pool and outdoor space which was especially nice to come back to after our outings each day. It is an exceptionally beautiful home and property and the area is worth a much longer stay. Highly, highly, recommend.

Perfect stay for a group to go to a wedding nearby

A small group of 7 of us stayed at this property to go to a wedding nearby, and it was perfect! Having the pool was perfect to relax in/near, and we loved going to the market in Loumarin. Our only challenge was that the house was only equipped with one small roll of toilet paper per bathroom, and we ran out by day 2. The owner was super responsive but insisted that any additional toilet paper needed would be our responsibility. It wasn’t a big issue, just a cultural difference in expectations to be aware of in advance. Another word of warning: there is no body wash, shampoo, conditioner provided. This may also be a cultural difference.

We absolutely loved our stay.

We originally booked an eight night stay in late August at Jaqueline's villa in Lourmarin for ourselves and three adult children. As good as the property and the environs looked and was described on the website, it was better in reality. The large house is well-appointed and, though the kitchen is small, it is well equipped to transform the fresh ingredients available at the many local farmer's markets into wonderful meals. What we expected to be a vacation filled with restaurant dining was unexpectedly filled with home cooking using the outdoor grill and leading to patio dining well into the night fueled by inexpensive, but satisfying, local wines. Lourmarin itself, a 15 minute walk from the villa, is attractive, not very touristy and boasting of restaurants worth visiting more than once. Nearby towns, accessible only by car, are fun to visit and you are likely to find a farmer's market at one or another of these on most days of the week. The highlight of our stay was enjoying the beautifully maintained pool. We found ourselves curtailing our sightseeing in order to get back to swim (and play). Before our visit we were concerned that what is characterized online as "air conditioning" actually refers to ceiling fans. However, as Jacqueline assured us, the stone floors and shutters to keep the sun out during the day effectively kept the house comfortable. Once settled we extended our stay one night. Jaqueline was very attentive and helpful both before and during our stay. We all agreed that our visit to Lourmarin was the best vacation we've ever had. We hope to return.

Property beautifully fitted

From the moment we booked the villa to the last day at handover our experience was faultless. The owner was extremely helpful throughout and her attention to detail was exceptional. The property was immaculate and beautifully fitted. We enjoyed the peace and quiet of Les Magnanarelles but only minutes away from Lourmarin - a village which provides everything you expect in a French location. Our family loved every minute we were there and cannot wait to return, hopefully next year. David July 2015, GB.

Absolutely Amazing!

REVIEWS REGARDING VILLA “LES MAGNANARELLES” “Absolutely Amazing!” This was our first trip to France. We attending a wedding in the village of Lourmarin and decided to stay in this house which is within walking distance of the village. First of all let me comment on the village. This village is so picturesque! It is the quintessential French village. Loaded with charming shops and cafes, you could spend days here and not see it all. There is a castle to explore, quaint streets too many to count, and lots of activity. We loved Lourmarin! Now the house. It was even better than we could have imagined!! It's beautiful inside and out. A fireplace, marble floors, balconies, roof top decks, large bedrooms, large bathrooms, modern, elegant and big! The views from the house are breathtaking. The house sits high up on a small mountain. There's a large pool and plenty of outdoor space. We had dinner outside by the pool most nights. The house was extremely clean and well maintained. Honestly, it felt like we were staying at a 5 Star resort. Our host Jacqueline was great answering all of our emails with millions of questions. Before we arrived we probably sent her twenty emails. All were answered. She was extremely helpful. I can't express how happy we are with this house. It made our first trip to France a holiday we'll never forget. We hope to visit France again and if we do this is where we will stay. Happy Travelers,

Merveilleuse villa, excellente location et merveilleux hotes

Notre séjour fut absolument merveilleux, la villa était conforme voire supérieure à l'annonce en tous points (propreté, qualité de l'ameublement, isolation thermique, piscine, etc.). La location est idéale, nous avons profité de Lourmarin dans le calme et la fraîcheur malgré les fortes chaleurs. De plus Jacqueline et Noël furent des hôtes très attentionnés et a l'écoute. Nous recommendons très chaleureusement cette villa qui garantira un séjour en famille/amis réussi!

Superbe séjour

Nous avons passé un superbe séjour dans la villa des Magnanarelles. La maison est très propre, spacieuse, fonctionnelle, en tous points conforme aux photos et à la description, nous n'avons manqué de rien. Tout a été choisi pour répondre au confort des hôtes. La propriétaire Jacqueline est très sympathique et très disponible en cas de questions. C'est un endroit parfait pour des vacances au calme et en famille. Nous recommandons chaudement.

Agréable séjour !

Location tout à fait conforme au descriptif/photos et donc aux attentes. Villa agréable et facile à vivre, à la fois dans son agencement intérieur et la disposition des lieux (terrasses, piscine assez proche, bonne orientation, terrain joliment arboré, mobilier extérieur adéquat). La localisation, calme sans être isolée, bénéficiant de la charmante proximité de Lourmarin et de celle très commode d'un supermarché récent (2 km) constitue un autre atout important. Localisation également assez facile à rejoindre via le train (Gare TGV d'Aix en Provence à environ 45 minutes de voiture). Communication efficace avec le propriétaire. Nous recommandons donc avec plaisir cette villa si le descriptif et les éléments précités répondent aux critères des futurs locataires potentiels.

Lovely house near a beautiful village

I stayed at the property with my family in May 2019. The communication with the property owner was excellent during the booking process and we were provided with lots of information about the house and local facilities/restaurants/sites of interest. The house is lovely. Fantastic outdoor area, beautiful pool in lovely landscaped environment. There is a sense of quiet and isolation at the house even though it is very close to the village - a perfect combination. There is an excellent supermarket less than 5 minutes drive away where we picked up all our barbeque provisions regularly. The bedrooms are large and the facilities are excellent. Table tennis and table football were great alternative distractions for the children when they weren't in the pool. Lourmarin is one of the prettiest villages I have been to in France with a good range of restaurants from family friendly to high end. Excellent market there on Fridays (and lots of other markets in local villages on alternative days)...... I'd highly recommend this property.
