About this property

Beautiful characterful villa, sleeps 6, large private pool, gardens & sea views

Casa das Figueiras is an idyllically situated 3 bedroom villa, which can sleep up to 6, with a magnificent private pool over looking the stunning rural and coastal Algarvian views.

The villa boasts a large open plan living and dining area with high ceilings, exposed wooden beams and French doors opening out onto one of the many terraces overlooking the beautiful mature garden. We have a log fire, perfect for comfy nights in during the colder season, but in summer the air conditioning ensures a pleasing coolness. There's also satellite TV and free wifi. The beautiful en-suite master bedroom with king-size bed has patio doors opening on to the terrace and garden, there are also two twin bedrooms and a separate large bathroom. The kitchen has everything you could need to cook up a wonderful feast which can be enjoyed inside or at any of the three alfresco dining areas over looking the pool and views.

If you fancy cooking outside we do, of course, have a large built in BBQ and several alfresco eating areas and terraces. The private pool is 10 x 5 metres with steps and a handrail and has several sun loungers and parasols around it along with a shaded eating area so it's perfect for enjoying the weather. The pool area is gated.

All the amenities are available inclusive of the price such as wifi, satellite TV, air conditioning, dishwasher, washing machine and parking space. Linens and pool towels are provided free of charge. A cot and high chair are available free of charge should you require them. Well behaved pets are welcome if notified in advance of booking, subject to an additional £25 cleaning fee (please note pets are not allowed in the pool).

Casa das Figueiras is located idyllically on a hillside with coast and country views, along a country lane only 2km from Boliqueime village with its shops, bank, pharmacy, bars and restaurants for eating out. The villa is peaceful and relaxing, away from it all, yet only ten minutes drive to wonderful beaches and Vilamoura with a marina, casino, 4 golf courses and all the pleasures of a top resort. A car is essential.

The villa manager will welcome you at the villa upon your arrival and will help with any questions during your stay so you can rest easily knowing everything will be taken care of! We can arrange for a small welcome grocery pack if you require, payable directly to the manager upon arrival.

There is a minimum stay of 7 nights. The changeover day is flexible and we do not do Sunday arrivals. Check-in is after 4pm and check-out is 10.30am.

Gorgeous villa

Absolutely gorgeous rustic and spacious villa with everything you could need. The beautiful garden and large pool really make this villa. Well maintained and communication was excellent. Definitely need a car but fantastic base point for seeing the Algarve. 100% recommend.

Relaxing stay

This house is a fantastic house to relax in. We went here for two weeks and enjoyed the calm atmosphere. We especially liked the swimming pool, the outdoor barbeque and the kitchen with everything you need. Would definitely like to come back!

We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to others.The house feels as if it was renovated in the 1970s and has a traditional feel to it. Having said that, it is clean and well maintained. The lounge is on the small side with insufficient seating for 6 people.The outside space is the best part of the property. The pool gets the sun for most of the day and there are plenty of sunny and shady places to sit. The pool is deep even in the shallow end which is something to bear in mind if you are with young children. The outside dining area is pleasant place to enjoy a meal.

The location & facilities were perfect for our needs. Remco was very informative about the villa. The 2 granddaughters turned into mermaids, with Mum & Dad , and the grandparents in support. Plenty to see in the area, and 3 good restaurants in the village.

Pool area is what makes this property! Pool is really big and amazing, sunbeds comfy, table and chairs well shaded. We spent most of our time out there! The house is VERY traditional, saying that it has everything you could possibly need, very well equipped kitchen, comfy beds, decent showers, space, clean and lots of towels and linen provided. Location was good, but would recommend a car. It was pretty much 20mins drive to anywhere you wanted to go. Steep hill walk into local village but not loads there. Quiet and rural location. We had a very quiet and relaxed holiday. Lidl and aldi 5 mins drive. Communication from Sheila was great about the booking, i found the guy dealing with us when we were there slightly rude but could be a language barrier.

Beautiful house

We enjoyed our stay a lot. We liked the big garden and private pool. The bedrooms are spacious and the kitchen is well equipped and the Wifi connection is pretty stable. Supermarkets are a 5 min drive away and the nearest beach about 15-20 min. Communication with Hillary and Remco was easy. In short: a great place for recharging your batteries but also suitable if you want to do some remote work.

Perfect retreat for 5 nurses who worked tirelessly through the pandemic. The house, garden and pool were fantastic to relax in. A short stroll to the village was made even more pleasurable by the Boliquieme festival. Remco ,property manager, was a wealth of information and helpful. Would recommend the house to others travelling to the Algarve.

Wonderful

We had a wonderful time at the villa. Everything is kept very clean, the pool is large and well-maintained. We often grilled outside, and the kids could play as much as they wanted. There is a cleaning service after one week, which is very convenient. The kitchen is well-equipped with plenty of utensils and dishes, so you don’t have to wash everything after each snack. All in all, we had a beautiful vacation with lots of Portuguese flair.

Lovely villa, full of character with great pool and outside space

Had a great week in the villa. The location is great - off the beaten track but within easy reach of both the coastal resorts and the lovely inland towns and villages. The villa is very well equipped. We prepared most meals and ate outside on the many dining areas. The pool area is superb with plenty of seating for all the family and options to sit out in the sunshine or escape to the many shaded areas. Many thanks to Remco for showing us around when we arrived. This was our first villa stay but definitely won’t be our last.

Lovely rustic villa with a beautiful garden/pool. Communication from the owner and the property manager was excellent. Had a minor issue with the a/c one day and Remco was out and fixed it promptly. Property has everything you need, and was well maintained. We had a great holiday and it is a good base to explore the area. You do need a car and some roads are narrow around the area so it may not be for everyone driving on those roads, but we found the driving fine once used to it and the locals friendly and welcoming. Great beaches and lots of nice restaurants in the region.

Lovely villa. Great holiday

We had such a lovely holiday staying in this villa. It was our first family holiday as a family of four (children aged 1 and 5) and without a doubt one that will have long lasting happy memories. The pool was great and our son spent most of the day splashing around in it. The villa is beautiful, in a lovely location which feels peaceful and secluded. The beaches nearby were busy (as expected over August) but gorgeous. Perfect waves for gentle body boarding and lots of restaurants nearby to make a great day out. All communication with Sheila/ Hilary and Remco were answered promptly and lots of helpful useful information available. We're hoping to book again for next year.

Relaxing

The Villa is full of character and the pool is excellent. The property does needs some updating internally and externally in our opinion. It states dog friendly but the garden/shaded area is not fenced so unable to let the dogs out except around the gated pool area which was not always ideal as very hot. Remco the Manager was always to hand and communicating with us, the cleaners were excellent too. Plenty of lovely places to eat in both Boliquieme and Vilamoura nearby. Overall it was a very relaxing holiday.

First visit to Portugal

We stayed for 12 nights at this beautiful villa! The pool was a big hit for our children (5yrs and 8ys) Our youngest learnt to swim independently during this holiday which is a very special memory! We enjoyed dinners on the patio and star gazing in the evening, we saw lots of shooting stars! Our little ones loved the lizards that would visit in the evening, they even named them. The air con in each room was great! Also having a washing machine was a bonus as I’ve come home with no washing to do. Check in with Remco was great, he was very informative of the villa and the local area. If you had any queries you could message him directly. We had a mid stay clean (bed linen and towels) pool man came a few times during our trip which was great! It is advisable to have a hire car when staying here as you are far out from transport links. We hired a car and loved the freedom to explore the local areas. Everyone is so friendly in Portugal we were made very welcome. There is a local Aldi and Lidl 5 min drive away which was super convenient. We would recommend this villa, we have made lifelong memories and miss our daily routines already! Thank-you for allowing us to stay x

Erholsamer Familienurlaub mit Traumpool

Das Haus liegt auf einem Berg, erreichbar durch verwinkelte Wege. Es ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, besticht aber durch seinen besonderen Charme. Der Garten die verschiedenen überdachten Sitzmöglichkeiten und natürlich der phantastische Pool lassen den Aussenbereich zu einem Highlight werden. Hier kann man sich wohlfühlen und entspannen. Im Haus ist alles vorhanden was man braucht. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet, Die Betreuung durch Remco war zuvorkommend und freundlich. Auch der Reinigungsservice war top. Wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen!

Wonderful villa in peaceful location.

We’ve had a wonderful 2 weeks at Casa das Figueiras and are so glad we managed to get there in the end! We were supposed to stay last year, but due to COVID we couldn’t travel. Sheila was so understanding and allowed us to defer. Her communication was brilliant throughout (including when we had a last minute passport hiccup!) The villa itself is wonderful, the location peaceful, but a short walk into the village and a very short drive to the bigger towns and some beautiful beaches. The villa has everything you could need (including the most comfortable beds we’ve had in a holiday villa) and is spotless, thanks to regular cleaning by the lovely cleaning lady. The pool was a big hit with our children (10, 7 and 4) and regularly maintained. Remco was really helpful with lots of recommendations and on hand if we needed anything. We’d definitely recommend the villa and hope to be back one day!!

My husband and I bought a plot in 1981 with a small building (a ruin really) set on a hillside overlooking the Algarvian coast. Gradually we renovated, expanded and improved but kept the character of the original stone building and roof. The location is fantastic! Real Algarve, tranquil, almond orchards, winding lanes, village close by with bank, pharmacy and some good restaurants. Yet Vilamoura and Albufeira are only a 10/15 minute drive with beautiful beaches, golf courses and marinas. We've enjoyed many family holidays here over the years and hope we've created a home from home for your relaxing holiday.
