Thanks for your feedback and our apologies for the difficulties with the smaller gate. Unfortunately, we believe one of the main stone posts has shifted very slightly making the door difficult to open and close. This, whilst quite safe, will have to wait until outside of the summer holiday season as the repair would be quite disruptive. The freezer is housed in the garage but we aim to get an integrated fridge/freezer to replace the current fridge in the kitchen.

We’re sorry you experienced some stiffness with opening the gates and have started some works on the wall, to be followed by the gates, to solve this and will look into the kitchen door. We were truly sorry that there was a mix up on the timing of the cleaning, which had not been done immediately after the previous tenants and therefore was in the condition that they had left, although fortunately all the new bedding had been provided. On finding this out we immediately took steps to remedy the situation, in discussions with yourselves, and had made arrangements for the cleaning as soon as possible early the following morning and were discussing options to help out and assist in the meantime. However, when you say you were ‘got’ out what you have missed out was that it was you who decided to cancel the rental, telling us very clearly that you had found somewhere else. A decision which you confirmed in writing only a few hours after your arrival, to both ourselves and Vrbo, despite all the steps we were trying to put in place. On one point though you are correct, our outlook did begin to change. Firstly, because after cancelling you then contacted us and said that as the property was now going to be empty for two weeks you would be prepared to move back in for a 50% discount on the rental fee. Secondly because, despite our concerns at this stage, we were in contact with Vrbo to see if we could reinstate a rental agreement. However, in the meantime you had decided to re-enter the villa without our agreement and I believe only chose to leave shortly after as you had triggered the alarm. Unfortunately, whilst we made significant efforts to address the inconvenience for you and your family anyone looking at the points above can decide where your concerns were.
