Beachfront condo, third floor unit, overlooking the largest of three pools and overlooking the white sandy beaches. One bedroom unit one bath unit. Sleeps six. Queen size bed in bedroom, one queen sleeper sofa, and one full sleeper love seat. Kitchen is fully equipped with everything needed to cook in if that is your desire. The balcony is perfect to sit out in the early morning or late evening to enjoy the beautiful view. The sunset over the ocean is spectacular. Unit includes two flat screen cable TV, one in living area and the other in the bedroom. Resort includes fitness center, tennis court, shuffle board, and three pools, which one is heated. Washer/dryer is located on the first floor. Close to all the good restaurants and attractions, including pier park.

No pets are allowed. Must be 25 years old to rent the condo and must physically stay art the condo during your vacation.

We love the location of the Sunbird condominiums. Conveniently located to everything, such as, Walmart, restaurants, pier park, and all the wonderful attractions. Pineapple Willy's is right next door.

Stranded. The room was double booked and Lorri Lynne would not answer calls or emails to confirm.

I was not able to check in to this unit after traveling to it.

I emailed Lorri Lynne two times up to me driving to Panama City Beach, FL for my vacation, neither were answered. I tried calling repeatedly on the day I was due to check in, tried to contact her through the VRBO website and emailed her directly also. I received no response.

At 4:00 PM check in I had called the VRBO 1-800 number three times and they also tried to contact Lorri Lynne with not results. I also spoke to the HOA and they tried to call her on two numbers. They were able to leave a message but the second number was disconnected.

At this point I was considered a 'stranded traveler' by Home Away the parent company of VRBO. They placed me in a condo across the street but the condo forced me to pay a condo use and cleaning fee of $168.94. This was for a FREE NIGHT because Home Away paid the actual rental fee. The next day we were still unable to reach Lorri Lynne so Home Away agreed to put me up for the final three nights of my reservation since I was a stranded traveler but the condo would have forced me to pay a second condo fee of $168.94 since it was a second reservation with no way to waive the fees. I made the payment of $248.27 to avoid a second fee of $168.94 for the remaining three nights and was told that Home Away would reimburse me, which is still under negotiation.

My trip to Panama City Beach, FL was absolutely ruined. I spent the first whole day placing calls and hours on hold with VRBO trying to reach the homeowner. I was forced to move my suitcases and misc. items TWICE at the condo I was placed at as a stranded traveler since the first condo was under repair when I entered it. It took me until after 7:00 PM to be safe and secure in a property.

I then spend the second day of my vacation again on hold with Home Away trying to reach Lorri Lynne until after 10:00 AM when I was forced to pay for my remaining nights stay with promise of reimbursement since I was a stranded traveler.

The Monday after I checked out I received an email from Lorri Lynne that she had been on a two week cruise and had asked the co owner of the condo to handle the rental. She did not send a message to me with that persons name or contact information in advance of her cruise. The co owner extended the rental of someone that was in the unit the week before I arrived therefore the unit was double booked when I arrived with no chance whatsoever that I would be able to use it.

The condo could have been a perfect vacation stay. 1. The biggest complaint is about the pull-out sofa beds. If our 8 year old doesn't feel comfortable on the paper thin mattress, no one with more weight will. Before Lorri replace both mattresses, I don't recommend the unit for a family more than a couple. By saying that, I mean yes, the bed in the bedroom is extremely nice. 2. One comforter is so stinky that two bed sheets don't block the smell. 3. The vertical blinds in the bedroom miss a panel piece right in the center, my husband replaced it with one from the edge, so that the bedroom had less exposure, even it still needs a piece anyway. The blinds in the living rooms are missing pieces too, but that's not much a problem. Except those issues, everything else are either great, or you can get your own supply from Walmart in 60 seconds distance. We did see a belly-up roach on the kitchen floor, but within a condo building, it's impossible to isolate one unit from them. Simply use the fridge or zip up the bags. So you see, it's very close to a perfect, state of arts, condo. And fortunately, all three real complaints can be easily fixed to get there.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your response. The sofa bed is being placed in October 2016. I have informed the cleaning person about the comforters that if they can not be cleaned then they need to be replaced. I am glad you was still able to enjoy the stay.

Not as expected - but OK

I sent the owner a detailed message, but will leave a little something here. First of all, I had intended to give a positive review here, and just let her/them know there were some things that needed attention. However, after getting to this page - I saw I'm not the first to have some minor issues here. So, I am leaving it as an "average" review.

The condo is not new. It's showing it's age. However, it's on the beach as promised, it was as described - for the most part. I don't feel like the value was there for the money spent, but it's really a crap shoot when you book online. The Orkin man had recently been in the property, his card was still there. The staff on site are really nice. We arrived after the HOA had left, and the gate guard provided us with exactly what we needed for the evening and into the morning when the HOA was back on site. I have stayed in condos in the past where basic necessities can be left for/from renter to renter (ie. ketchup, mustard, salt, pepper, paper towels, non-perishable items) that was not the case here, so in addition to it being slightly overpriced for the condo itself, we had to buy and then throw away a lot of things. The owner was super easy to communicate with before the trip and I had no immediate needs during the trip, but I assume she would have been then too. The condo is very close to elevators, making loading in and out very easy. Thankfully, I didn't have some of the bigger issues some of the previous renters had, but I will say it was a little more 'dated' that I had expected based on the photos provided. The pull-out sofa and love seat need mattresses - or something - I had a teenager sleeping on each on and both complained of the comfort, or lack there of. All in all, it was OK for the 4 days we were there.

Great view of the beach, fantastic location!

Overall we were happy with our stay here. The location is fantastic - right on the beautiful beach with a nice view of the pool. It was super-convenient to run up to the room anytime we needed anything while at the pool/beach. Lorri was very responsive every time we contacted her, so her customer service was great. The condo needs some updates, in terms of furniture/decor and the kitchen wasn't as well-stocked with cooking utensils as we expected. When we arrived, we had only 2 paper towels left on the paper towel roll and about 1/4 of a roll of toilet paper there, which meant we had to immediately go out and buy toilet paper and paper towels. We knew we would have to provide our own, but expected to at least start off with a full roll of each (as was stated on the paperwork provided to us). I think this is probably something the cleaning service overlooked. May need to talk with the cleaning service, Lorri, as the condo also had a good bit of sand on the floor when we arrived and there was some trash on the floor in the bedroom (tags from clothes on the floor). Anyway, for the price, the condo met our needs, and we would stay here again.

I was not at all impressed, bugs were all over the condo, wasnt adressed until after my stay, even though the owners were aware from the previous renter. Condo staff was rude as well.

Disgusting!

Cockroaches everywhere! Filthy cabinets, counter tops, floor, mattresses, etc. It was a waste of money for us because we had to kill 20+ roaches, even had them in the drawers where our clothes were!

Once you arrive on the property you must purchase a parking pass of approximately $20. Wrist bands must be purchased and worn at all times on the property. The cost of the bands are $3 per person over the age of 11. These items are purchased in the Home Owners Association Office located on the property in the middle of the 2 buildings beside the pool area.
