About Connie Schwada

We purchased the property in October of 2014. We purchased it from the Beardens' who had previously owned 2 homes in the neighborhood for vacation rentals. Eventually we hope to split our time between here and our home in northeast Missouri. We have owned several condos previously which were on the rental program. We have always enjoyed our trips and memories we have made with our children and grandchildren at the lake, and it is our hope we can play a small part in making memories for families for years to come.

Connie Schwada purchased this house in 2014

Why Connie Schwada chose Lake of the Ozarks

It is located in a beautiful, wonderful neighborhood. In the summer it is full of kids and adults enjoying the lake. All the seasons bring with them unique beauty. From the autumn trees, to the snow, you are always surrounded with breathtaking views.

What makes this house unique

From the easy lake access, to the wall of glass in the family room with the beautiful stone, wood-burning fireplace, it is a cozy, comfortable retreat that screams relaxation.

Beautiful property, great location and view.

  • 5 of 5

This is a great rental property in an excellent location. We had a very enjoyable time at this home. The home was very clean and well furnished. This location offers easy access to the local general store and a short drive into town if you forget anything. The dock was very nice and worked out perfectly to accommodate our boat and the nearest boat launch was only 10 minutes away. I am very particular when it comes to rental homes and have stayed in many properties in different areas of the country and this home ranks right at the top of the list. The only complaint I have was that the neighbors 2 houses down were lighting off M80's late into the night. This obviously has nothing to do with the owners of this great property. Other than that, it was a very calm and peaceful neighborhood that showed a lot of pride of ownership.

Beautiful house and view, nice location for swimming

  • 4 of 5

The house and property were beautiful - very nice and updated throughout. Plenty of space in the kitchen and living areas to hang out, cook, eat, and play games. The view was fantastic, and it was nice to have the private dock (enough space to set up our lawn chairs). We really enjoyed having a fire in the fire pit at night, and they stock the place with plenty of firewood. The cove is large enough to give you a good view but small enough to swim and not feel in danger of boats. We did have one boat anchor in the cove and play very loud, disturbing music on one day.

There were a couple things we wish the house had. It would be nice if the table on the deck had an umbrella. The kitchen was pretty well equipped but there were only two small dish towels and one roll of paper towels, which really isn't enough for three nights. While there is a washer/dryer, it would be a shame to do a whole load of laundry for just two small dish towels. We also ran out of toilet paper so we had to have someone run out and buy more toilet paper and paper towels. I would recommend bringing extra.

Your home was amazing. The drive into the neighborhood was really nice. All of the homes were well maintained and the yards were all mowed as if it was a maintenance provided gated community which is not our usual customary welcome drive into the neighborhood of a lake home. The home is even more beautiful than the pictures and all of the furniture and every bed is comfortable which is again not always the case in a rental home where old and uncomfortable mattresses and un-matching furniture seem to land.

The back yard was a paradise for both of our families to eat dinner on the deck, fish and swim off the dock and hang out around the fire pit in the evening. We really warmed up to a tiny neighborhood dog that we affectionately named Piglet because he snorted alot. We caught some bass and very nice sized bluegill. We laughed that the only thing we were missing was some Splenda for our morning coffee.

We very comfortably watched a Royals game in the lower recreation area thanks to Dish Network and enjoyed all the comforts as if we were back home. Thanks for opening your home to our families. We hope to be back in the fall for a long weekend get away!!

Beautiful Home, Great View

  • 5 of 5

If you are looking for a place to stay on the lake, this place is it. Our family loved it, lots of room and the house is beautiful. What a view, you can see the lake from almost every room in the house. Connie the owner was so nice to work with. We enjoyed the dock and the beautiful lawn. Our only regret was our stay was not near long enough. We will definitely stay here again. Thank you Connie for letting our family enjoy your place. Rick & Carla Snook
